I contacted this outfit outta Poland called Extreme Tyres. They have a NJ USA distributor. I heard East Coast guys love this tire, so I wanted to give it a shot. They have a 140 TW R7 "medium" compound, but they were apparently out of this and only had their 80 TW R5 soft compound. $100 a tire, $45 per tire shipping.

Also, something I didn't know or realize, but these tires are retreads. I know there's been a lot of FUD about retreads in the media, but since their tires are produced in a TUV approved German factory I figure it was safe. Also Zestinos are apparently retreads too.

My only issue is that they are apparently are on close out - which means I might get to try them once but never again. I want a more reliable tire supply.

I'm down to experimenting with the Dunlop Direzza ZIII or the Goodyear Supercar 3R. Probably will go to Direzza since I want something that I can drive on and not die in rain.
After my recent experience with the Zestino tires (fast but delaminated two sets), I'm never going to run no-name tires again. I've heard good things about the ZIII but they run pretty narrow (9.8" tread width for a 275). Looks like Yokohama is re-releasing the AD052 with a 7/32 tread depth. That might be the way to go.

I know you've got chunking with your RS4's but I've been running them in a 285 square setup the last few track days and haven't had any issues (and my car is probably 150 lbs heavier)
Are you running the 285/35/18? Do you have much rubbing with that size?

I just posted a review of the RS-4 in the NT-01 thread. IMHO, it's the best value if you're looking for something that will last longer than the NT-01 and not much slower.

Yes, I'm running the 285/35/18. I get some rubbing at 3/4 to full lock but my wheel liners already have holes rubbed in them from running other fat tires. I'm also running -3.5 camber up front and have JRZ RS2's with the short helper springs so I'm able to set my perch height just high enough to clear the tire. No spacers at all.

I ran them at Buttonwillow a few weeks back and was about a second slower than my best time on my old Zestino Gredge tires (140tw). My last track day was at Willow Springs but I haven't been there in two years so I really don't have a recent time to compare against. The big test will be Auto Club Speedway. I've got a lot of time there and it's probably my best track.

We can get them here in Canada. Similar to an NT01 in terms of overall grip, very stiff sidewall (good and bad). Wear seems quite similar to NT01/R888R. They are a good tire, but I personally still prefer the Nitto's.

Unless you can get them for cheaper then the NT01, I don't see a point using them to be completely honest. You're either stuck to running 265 square or 295 square (95% of people couldn't accommodate this). Or running a 265/295 stagger. The 265's run quite a bit smaller then a 275 NT01 so it's not ideal.

Lap time wise they are very similar to the Nitto's. Wear is slightly worse. They provide quite a bit of audible feedback for a tire in this category, again good and bad. Very stiff sidewall, so turn in response is good, but adds a lot of additional stiffness to the suspension setup. Braking traction is worse than the NT01's, ABS would kick noticeably easier.

My 2 cents

I surprisingly haven't outgrown the OEM calipers yet so I wanted to ride those out until the funds $$ clear up a bit

Did PFC08 all around (ss lines and motul 660) on RE71r's, felt good and lasted 4-ish track weekends? Maybe more?

Front OEM rotors started to show some stress cracks so I replaced those with the Stoptech aero rotors, and went to DTC 70 pads

Still on OEM rotors and the same PFC08 in the rear, now on Toyo RR and no issues doing time trial sessions and the car feels really good. 2-3 hot laps max, or when I'm out on an open session I'll usually call it quits 15-ish minutes in

We ordered a handful of these for stock at Malek@MRF ... Plug and play awesomeness. We bought for resale but I don't think I can resist keeping one for myself.

He's trying to dissuade point bys, but when he finally has to concede, he's going to give a turn signal rather than stick the hand out the window.

From SoCal testing these nankang tires have more grip than nt01.

They're available here but they're price gouging. If I'm paying the same price I'll pay Cañada than these fucks.

Like stern said they're awesome tires and he destroys the ring, granted different type of track vs our local hard on everything type of tracks lol

Speed Academy did a test as well. Unfortunately, they didn't include the NT01 though.

If I were in the market for 100TW tires, I'd give them a try.
