Yes, you can get 4 track wheels in the back of an E92 :)
I get asked about this a lot so I took some pictures this time.
I have 4 18x9.5 DForce Wheels with 275/35 Continental Slicks (also works with 285/30 Hoosier R6) I fold down the back seat and roll three wheels in vertically and lay the last one down in the trunk. I bought a come along strap at wallmart and attach it to the luggage ties in the trunk. As you can see I have plenty of room for luggage, cooler, and track tools. Even a passenger if need be |

Few cars offer this flexibility. If you want to run a track wheel/tire setup with a Corvette or 911 or GTR, you have to trailer the car or drive to the track on your R-comps, neither of which is practical or attractive for me or a lot of other people. I swear some owners of other cars at the track look at me when I unload tires, jack, torque wrench, etc. as if I'm unloading 35 clowns from a Volkswagen!

Actually, part of the fun of track days for me is sitting in a camp chair watching all the futzing about as drivers fill their time between sessions.

Even better. The other day I managed to get 4 tires and 4 wheels (not mounted) into the car (not using the passenger seat) No pics unfortunately. Pretty nice how much fits into the car!

I've gotten up to 7 tires in my E90. Might be different with a coupe but I could fit all 4 in the back seat...with a little extra ooompf on closing the door.
BTW...have fun a TWS!...you know my situation for this weekend.

I do it with the seat up so the tires set about 6-7 inches lower so you can see out the back window with them in there....... Have to cover the seats though.

I've gotten all 4 across the back seat with my APEX 9.5/10.5 (seats NOT folded down).

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Same here... But was is your strategy to secure them in the back? Do you also use the child seat hooks?

I have the same size tires and can place all four down flat in the back seat area. I also use tie down straps to prevent them from sliding forward. This leaves my truck completely free for cooler, jack, "parts box" helmet and luggage. I like your set up however.
