Not many people fit info a Pole Position seat properly. As an alternative, you may want to look into the new Sparco Q-RTR seat.

The QRT-R is the first seat to feature Sparco’s patented QRT ultra-light technology. This QRT Technology gives an unparalleled mechanical strength/weight ratio for fiberglass composite racing seats. QRT Technology gives an average weight savings of 7lbs (up to 10lbs +) per shell. The main benefit is that QRT-R seat approaches the weight of a carbon fiber seat at a price of a fiberglass seat. The QRT-R seat shell weighs 9.9 lbs. The QRT-R has a unique CAD design that features a lower seating position that can fit a larger/taller driver with the exterior dimensions that can fit into smaller vehicles. The QRT-R is FIA approved.

TECHNOLOGY
• Lightweight QRT Technology (7-10lbs weight savings)
• Lower seating position that can fit taller/larger drivers
• Smaller outer dimensions for small vehicle fitment
• FIA approved

Sat in some nice OMP WRC-R's today

XL was gaming chair comfy too much lateral leg room.

L was almost spot on - minus the harness pass through being a tad low

5'11 - 190

Any other ideas?

Tall fat guy checking in.

I'm 6'2, 315lb. 48 inch pant waist. Fitting into most seats can be a challenge. I use a RaceTech WRT4119W. Most comfortable seat I tried. Can drive 3+ hours in it to a track and not get any back or tailbone pain (which is rare for me in ANY seat). Love this seat.

Downside, it's $2k.

has anyone used one of those custom creafoam bead seat kits with an aluminum shell to make a custom race seat? kirkey racing will make a custom shell based on your specs (i don't know how much it costs), and the foam kits are $400. thats assuming i need the large seat kit.

I'm between 6'03" and 6'04", and 230lbs. These seats are worthless for me at the track.

yeah i literally really need much lower seat mounts, coupled with a seat which is lower than OEM unfortunately

The RaceTech I mentioned above should fit you well. It's a wide/tall model. Some guys much skinnier than me but taller (I'm 6'2, I know someone who is 6'6 and uses it) use them.

In my E46 even on sliders I still have 2-3 inches of headroom with helmet on, but my E46 has no headliner and sun roof delete w/ CF insert.

unsure how the smallish halos would go on a street car?

The price is also a big factor plys id prefer the look of the recaro profi XL.

have to see if i can find one to try out!

This is the exact one I bought, they also offer a version with the head restraints, but as a big guy I couldn't easily get in/out as quickly as I would like (for safety reasons) with the head restraint version.

Any big guys running the sparco EVO III or ALPHA?

Found both for a great price but yeah doubt I'm going to fit...

Can get 15% off alpha's already discounted price from sparco italy works out around $580 USD delivered, or a guy selling a unused EVO III (seems to be discontinued now in 2018) in another state...

The racetech RT4119 WT (Wide & tall) seems the most accommodating, albeit they're 3 x times the price of the sparco's and quite a bit more serious looking with halo etc for my predominantly street car...
