Akrapovic Evolution & ESS Akrapovic Tune Dyno

This is what my car did today at Driver Source in Houston. This is only exhaust and software.

356.12 RWHP and 257.58 Torque

iPhone video

I'm very happy with the exhaust and software - Very smooth power.

nice results
is the ess tune just a regular tune or does the akra throw a code and the tune eliminates it?

Thanks - The ESS tune is specific for the akrapovic evolution exhaust system.

No, I didn't - I wish I would have though because the numbers seem a little low.

It could just be the dyno though - I'm just using it for a baseline on my next mod.

We normally see 320-330rwhp stock on our Dynojet depending on fuel quality used. +15-20 for Akra w/cats and 10-15 for tune.

The car feels very quick and ran 158 in a standing mile. There is a very noticeable difference with these two modifications compared to stock.

I emailed the shop to see if they have a chart from a completely stock DCT E9x - I'll post it up if they have one.

Thanks for the link - I really want to get one from this specific dyno though. Different dynos will produce different numbers so I just want to see what it says for a stock car.

If you assume that the car produces 414 BHP then it should put down 352 with a 15% reduction.

If we take the reduction up to 17% for DCT based on an article online then it should be in the 344 window.

With this I have to assume that either the combined mods only produced 13HP or that this dyno is shooting low numbers compared to calculations on advertised stock BHP.

My baseline (stock with AA pulley) at Driver Source was 324 rwhp and 239 wtq. Did you get the full exhaust with HFCs or cat delete?

Perfect, thanks!

I have the full Akrapovic Evolution with 100cel cats and the ESS Akrapovic tune.

Assuming that our cars have the same base output - Then I made 33-38 HP depending on if your AA pulley made any power for you. Awesome.
