I am a manual guy at heart. but i wanted to try this new breakthrough in transmissions. So i had no problem going DCT. I love it, but regular autos i cant deal with. Will i keep buying DCTs now ? idk but happy i tried it out.

OP.......I am certain this was an innocent blunder, however, this has been the most hotly debated as well as being the most beaten to death topic in the history of the e9x M3. Do a search. You will discover everything you ever wanted or needed to know about this subject, and then some.

Top 5 beaten-to-death topics:

5. Is ZCP worth it?
4. Which intake is best?
3. Which exhaust is best?
2. M3 vs GTR
1. MT vs DCT

I would replace #4 with "carbon fiber roof or moonroof".

I like the trans that allows you to change gears. Which one is that?!

On a side note... Sometimes I don't know what gear I wanna be in. Is that crazy? It's like I'm TROLLING around for the right gear, and then the other gears start explaining to me why they are better. The whole thing is bananas! Prolly just me...

Well its simple, do you want to use a clutch and shift all the time, day after day 100,000's of times over the life of your M? if so get a MT, if you want to shift like a a F1 car get a DCT.
Personally i will probably never own a MT again in my life, my first 4 cars where sticks and i grew to hate um, BUT those who like sticks They are Fun.
