Keep up the good work! I had this on prior cars too, can't wait until it is switchable. Then you can add other good stuff like no lift shift, two step rev limiter, pedal sequence security (won't start unless you hit the gas pedal or some button in a certain sequence), etc. Keep at it!

Awesome idea Mike! Couple of thoughts...
Switch in the glovebox that can be secured with your "valet key". Allows signal input to be recognized through iDrive (i.e. hidden or repressed coding). Similarly, utilize USB + memory stick in glovebox to load valet tune. Program initiates upon plug-in; deactivates on removal. Just ideas...

It would seem that if the cars can determine (all electronically) that the Trunk Lock switch in the glovebox has been enabled (thus disabling both the trunk release button by the driver's door and the pressure pad on the trunk lid), that perhaps this is the easiest way to enable this Valet feature without constant re/de-programming (assuming it can live dormantly along-side the daily driving tune)...? |

Im willing to bet something like this can be done for my 335
rev limit and speed limiter? I have it set on transport mode anytime I give my car out to my brother. but he can still go over 110 under 4500 rpm I would like to set the speedo to 75 (peace of mind) |
