OP, I'm assuming that this is not your car for sale since that one is in Florida, so I hope you don't mind if I help with the definition of 'rare' a little bit with this link...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-M...item336a8661c4 Estoril Blue M-texture Alcantara interior 6-speed manual Competition Package Dinan S3 = the definition of rare E46 beauty! |

Wow is right
Ya if I was the original owner I would of gotten this exact setup the only thing different I'd do about my car is have the m alcantera and comp pack and 6 speed but they are both amazing trust me. I wouldn't want the sc though that would be fun of course but ruins the longevity of the motor of course he is selling it cuz I wouldn't want an aftermarket forced induction highly tuned inline 6 that's 7 years old out of warranty. The upkeep on that one compared to the natural aspirated one would be 3 times more. But worth it if you want to rebuild and restore totally. Cuz 80% of all estoril e46 are SMG so that is even more rare! That truly is perfect minus the supercharger.

Ya Manual there is less that can go wrong...it's more of a pure driving connection with the car and it's fun....but why would they put the csl with only smg if it was a nightmare. That's one of the ultimate dream M's ever built and not 6spd? Once you get used to how to drive an Smg than it's fine, smooth fast no problems at all. But if you were behind the wheel of an idiot driving it wrong than ya it's a nightmare especially if they don't let it warm up cuz it's rough when it's cold for sure. Trust me I was not a fan of smg I like manual only but once you learn it it not bad. More can go wrong but if it doesn't than it'd faster than 6spd anyway

Lol is right aw was produced in the tens of thousands and eb in the dozens worldwide and ya sunroofs are gay. But aw is most certainly not rare for any BMW ever made. Not many 2005 and 2006's out there with less than 20k miles. And the ones that are you don't necessarily want either bcuz they were probably not driven often enough to keep the parts in great shape and the maintainence needed after a period of years wasn't done because of the low miles....unless the owner drove it 25 miles every Saturday only for it's whole life and spent the time to get a lot of work done on it to keep it up

Dear whoever said "Why is this rare?", You've never heard of Estoril Blue, look it up.
