Bmw says it's a 20kg penalty overall. Who knows how correct that is but that's what they say in the official specs. But who cares most of the extra weight is low and right in the middle of the car

Because it does matter. I use 0w-40 which is 10 lbs lighter than 10w-60 when it's cold.

While I love my Monte Carlo Blue E90...its basically a track build with a $4500 paint job. Kind of idiotic. Since I DD the E90, I wouldn't mind swapping in black leather/power seats. Not sure what I need to do to make the power seats work.
If I remember right it is relatively plug and play f you already have sport seats (you do) because the side bolsters are power adjustable regardless of manual or power. The non M guys have this figured out for us already somewhere I'm sure

Yea some dude ordered this thing with the tech package, but no blue tooth. Definitely a unique order.

Lightweight battery like the one mini uses should net you another 30lbs reduction.

For the most part yes but you can feel the weight when in a quick transition or switchback. It takes a little longer for the rear end to take a set. A better limited slip unit and slightly stiffer springs might help.

These things are pigs on a track and no mistake about that, they just happen to be better than some other even piggier pigs. Pigs can be fun though see, e.g., bacon

Your car will definitely lose weight when the bottom locks up and drops out from using 0w40

So even with a sunroof, the e92 should weigh less than 3600 pounds with 1/4th tank. So a DCT/Moonroof E92 is about the same weight as a E90 6MT/Slicktop

I have the same. Red leather heated manual seats, and Nav but no Bluetooth. Getting the latter retrofit completed hopefully this week. Weird option combo but I love it. Manual seats were only available on the sedan in 2011 I believe.

E92 is a 2011.5 with leather manuals...

Let me know how easy that blue tooth is to retrofit.

I have been running 0W40 since mid 2014, when I changed the rod bearings as preventative maintenance. No track, though.

Weight I thought the zero on 0w40 meant it didn't wait anything when it was cold like snowing and stuff so your snow tires don't have to work as hard, but then begins to way about 40 when it gets hot outside to help with traction in the dry
