I always liked this one from Buttonwillow. The resident photographer (VanHap) was always really good at side rolling shots----keeping the car clear and crisp and capturing the rims in a blur, but I don't think he's doing it there anymore. Looks like CaliPhotography has taken over at BW. They have a multiscreen viewing station there now.

uh, Jae, I don't think calling us "white people" is PC any more. Maybe stick with 'caucasian-american', or perhaps just 'paleface'...

That much of a huge discrepance?????????
Only been to BUttonwillow willow once in April, first time ever there on a muddy slippery day, not knowing the track, and even I was able to manage 2:07 which I thought was pretty damn slow. With a 30 sec discrepancy some people are getting lapped twice in a single session. That shouldn't be happening in advance group. They should have been downgrade beginner, then moved up to intermediate later in the day if they picking up pace safely.

I have driven with Tightie and Speed District from his very first event. It has been amazing how popular the track events have become in the last couple of years, and how diverse a group and types of cars he has attracted. It certainly has been a bit more more challenging with group selection but at the end of the day, track awareness and periodically checking your mirrors is highly advised especially, when you are coming up to a long straight away where passing is common.

Also, the slower car should lift slightly to make passing a bit easier even in the open passing advanced groups. Often times, a faster driver in lower hp cars like Miatas, S2000's etc., are relying on their momentum and drag racing down the straights doesn't help matters so give the passing car a chance to get by.
