Your Favorite Driving Road/s in New England.
After watching a bunch of POV videos on YT situated around the Pacific Coast/Big Sur, I have been curious to hear other's favorite driving cruise roads in New England.
For me, Route 117 and 126 in Metro west MA is a convenient fun drive. So is Rte 16 when you are headed out passed Wellesley. Would love to find out about some others! Last edited by BeaterM3; 03-24-2021 at 06:47 PM.. |

Some nice road off of Route 1 in the Topsfield and Ipswich area. I love driving out to the Crane Beach area. There are some nice spots to take pics at the Crane Estate.
We were up there on Sunday and not many people out because of the holiday.

The Plum Island/Newburyport area has always seemed like a place I wanted to cruise through. |

Also, Great Neck in Ipswich is another fun drive along the water. In all of these towns there's always a speed trap or police out and about so be aware of that...

I just drove a really great route this weekend that was full of high speed country/forest roads.
Starting at Alewife Brook Parkway: Route 2 to Route 119W/2A (sign says to Littleton). Follow 119W to Groton In Groton, turn right onto Route 40E (sign says to Westford/Chelmsford) Follow 40E until Route 3 Get on Route 3S for just a bit, and take Exit 32 to Route 4 (sign says Chelmsford/N. Chelmsford) Follow Route 4S until you reach Mass Ave/2A You end up pretty much where you started. The drive takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. 119W/40E/4S were tons of fun. A guy in an audi and I were having fun on 40E for a short while. I'd say the roads were in good to great condition (some were recently repaved). |
