CCC to CIC retrofit

Hi all,

I am wondering if any of you out there have gone down the road of having a CIC nav system retrofitted in place of the older CCC? I am wanting to go down this path on my '08 E92 and am trying to find someone who can do it.

Hi, I've done it myself. It's actually not that hard to do.
It was coded remotely by the company I bought if off.
If you want to change the idrive controller you have to make sure
that you have the latest software installed before you do it.
It is an improvement over the CCC so I think it was worth it.
I'd help you but I'm in Port Macquarie so a bit far for a Sunday drive.

Thanks for the response - and thanks for the offer to help but I don’t blame you for not wanting to make a trip to Canberra from PM!!

I’ve already got a new console and controller installed and it all works, incl the short cuts, with the older CCC system.

Did you need to modify the harness connector on the CIC system to enable the retrofit in place of the old CCC? I understand this is needed ... perhaps that was done by the seller you bought from. Could you please share where you bought from, perhaps a link in a PM if you prefer? Really appreciate it.
