Damn I've missed this car! Didn't have time to take it to Bmw to have the steering wheel done but will go in Monday for that. Couple of pics of it cleaned. Crazy to see what Cquartz still looks like a year later.

Also I bought a new daily! 2001 740i sport. It's had all the major services, timing chain, cooling system, pixel fix, and lots of others. Can't wait to have this as my daily as I've always loved the E38/39/46 body styles. Timeless designs. It's out of NJ so should have it in a week or so.

always liked the e38, nice choice. just wish it wasnt silver, 50% of the e38 sold must have been that color...

I usually agree with silver being a blah color but it's something about it on E38/39 that look nice. I wanted anthracite but this one checked all the boxes option wise and had all the work done. Plus a light color in south Florida doesn't hurt

My first BMW was an '03 330i M-Sport in Titanium Silver. It just looked awesome with the black euro bumper trim. Classic styling. Congrats on the new DD!

Finally got the V2 steering wheel installed. I love it. Rather big purchase for a damn steering wheel but the things the steering wheel does it rather impressive. It's been over a week and a half and I'm still learning shit. I just wish they did the tri stitch instead of white. It's not going to match the DCT or Ebrake boots but I guess I can have it restitched at one point if it bothers me.

One of these days I need to stop bulllshittin and get the test done to the car. Tri stitched boots, side skirt extensions and finally getting the headlights sanded and reclearwd with UV protective clear. Also switching brakes pad to Hawk HPS, the stoptechs are shifting in the caliper making a noise.

Just stopping in to check out the build thread and see how it compares to the LMB e90 just 2 hours up north.

I'd probably just leave it as is or get one with tri stitch to match the boot

Man, it's been months since I've updated this!

The car spent 5 weeks at the shop recently getting the secondary air system replaced. We had multiple codes and the warranty approved replacing it. Also, had 7 misfires due to bad coils so those were replaced along with plugs. I had a rare leak from the rear main seal, even the shop was surprised but was also replaced. Lastly, for the shop anyway the replaced the rear window regulator as it was sticking and making noise. Luckily my warranty once again covered everything. Once it was done there it went to the body shop. I had them refinish the front bumper, fill the holes in the trunk from the wing that was installed and fix a few other imperfections in preparation for the Xpel wrap going on after the paints cured. I'm going full body Xpel including carbon fiber lip and side skirts. The rear carbon spoiler is going to get an Interlagos blue pin stripe along the back like the CRT spoiler does. I may be getting carbon mirror caps painted like the F90 M5s so only the bottom is exposed. Check iND website for that.

If that's not enough, my wife and I are expecting a baby girl in May! We are beyond excited for this. My wife is adamant about me keeping the M3. She knows how much I love it and doesn't want me to sell it, so it'll be a baby hauler on days I don't use the E38.

I'll update pictures once I get the M3 cleaned but it still needs to final cut and buff in a few weeks.

Read your first post from last year and funny thing I had a similar experience late last month finding my car in Vegas: email, hit them up on fb, and waited 3 hours for them to open and called immediately and put a deposit lol. That anticipation and high hopes but knowing it could be another miss lol. Mine is Melbourne Red e90zcp 6mt though. Here is my thread: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=24050377.

Congrats on the baby! hopefully I'll be getting the same news soon...hoping for a boy this time though (got a 3 year princess who is the boss of me lol). Girls are great! #Blessings

Hahaha you sound like a nut like me shopping for cars! Hahaha but in all seriousness, when you find the one you have to jump on it. Especially rare ones like mine and yours!

I'm looking forward to having a baby girl. Seeing friends with girls it's a cool thing and I'm excited. Of course, I'd love to have a boy at some point as most guys do. Best of luck with your news! Happy healthy is ultimately the main thing!

I've been thinking about picking up a carbon spoiler too but was considering doing the reverse CRT paint scheme - carbon fiber exposed on the edge and lower middle indented portion above the roundel while the rest is painted. I've never seen pics of this but think it would look really good. IND said they could make it happen for me so I might pull the trigger next spring if the mod bug bites me again.

Yep, that's the standard CRT paint scheme. I think that matches better with a CF roof and/or other CF accents. I think my idea would match the painted roof better and be more unique. Either way looks really good though!

I just spoke to my shop and I'm going forward with the mirror caps! So I'll have my carbon skirts, mirror caps, spoiler and some type of lip or splitters again. It'll be nice these but IB. Stolen pic of iND

CRT setup is what I have now. But I have a carbon roof.

Update with pics. I'm kinda digging the no spoiler look. I may hold off on the rear spoiler and get the front lip and side skirt on to see what it looks like. Bumper, headlights and trunk came out damn near perfect!

I don't think I've seen an E90M without the slight lip on the trunklid. Do you have a shot from the rear 3/4? Curious to see what it looks like.
