I think he was doing it "just for fun", he said "Messing around with the rarely used GoPro." in the OP

50 bones for a funnel?! The guy selling that is laughing at buyers all the way to the bank. I've never had a problem with $2 funnels like the one in the vid.

$2? I get the 67 cent ones at Walmart. My father in law would laugh at me because I would buy a new funnel with every oil change. At 67 cents, who cares.

There are people with turbo mustangs saying the same thing about our m3. They just don't know.

Cost is all a perspective thing.

$50 funnel for a $30-50k car, where some people use a $0.75 cent Walmart funnel.

$50 funnel is 0.0016 to 0.001 percent of a $30-50k vehicle.

+1. Even if at some point I did have a couple drips of oil who cares. My car is going on the road to be driven not a museum.

Obviously it's possible without a funnel at all. The convenience is in the speed and the fact that you won't knock his funnel off. Unscrew the caps and dump without worry. the cost is for convenience, not a funnel. as stated, you don't need a funnel.

I never use a funnel. Maybe I could fill up oil 10 seconds faster with one but then I would have to spend 10 minutes going to a store and buying one.

I buy a new funnel with every oil change. They are like 40-60 cents.
