It's the wires for the lumbar/bolster getting damaged where they get flexed at the location of the seat back pivot area. The seat back tilts forward and stretches/abrades the wires inside the seat.
I'm going to take the seat back off my pass. side as mine doesn't work either although my fuse is OK.

Figured it out. It wasn't the wire. Coincidentally the fuse I got from another BMW owner was going bad too. I suspected as when I put in the borrowed fuse the seat bolsters and lumbar support moved really slow. Like it took a solid 10 seconds to get it to my spot. Once I put in a brand new fuse, everything was running as if it was brand new. Plus I checked out the wires under the seat and pushed some of them in more and they may have helped.

Much better... CF trim is a must on every single M3.

Piano black is nice but, the CF interior is better.
I would have got piano black on my 135i but the titanium trim was fine.
I think piano black belongs on a non-m.

CF trim sucks. My dash piece warped and cracked after a couple years
Looks good but the quality sucks

I like the aluminum. The interior sorely needs some contrast especially if black leather. I have black+carbon and it's nice but just all black.

I have the janky Palladium Silver Novillo interior...which was boring considering the car is Silverstone II. Pretty beat up now anyways. Can't wait to get rid of it and find something else (the interior, not the car!)

I felt the aluminum made the car look cheap and not like an M car. Again, this is possibly due to the color combo of my specific car.

Good to know. I like the CF trim way more for now.

Maybe I'll hang on to my aluminum since I can have a shop eventually piano black that trim out.

Sat next to her the last 2 nights in the garage, it was peaceful and I was content. I was trying to get the coding software to work, have it working on Win XP and Win 10 computers, cable works, can see ignition on. Was able to pull information from the ECU but toward the end it gives me an error. :-( I am so close I can taste it... I really just want a few things done, folding mirrors, disclaimer, TPMS off if possible, lower fuel warning, DTRL off in auto. Try, Try again... Rear wheel bearings are next sitting on my kitchen table. 2 of Earthquake SWS-8X subs coming tomorrow, not sure if it's an upgrade but I'll find out...

Agree with this 100%. The aluminum trim matches the gauge rings, EPS speaker trim, door handles, climate control knobs, air vents, and F10 shift knob (or DCT controller). Everything ties together very nicely and the contrast looks much better than a sea of black. Add some aluminum pedals and you're in business.

Unpopular opinion: I think carbon fiber interior trim is massively played out now that every basic car has faux carbon crap everywhere. I do like the way the stitching looks on the M carbon leather trim though and think it looks best with Fox Red extended leather.

Series cars use a different aluminum trim which does look cheap. M aluminum trim is not the same. But yeah, with Palladium Silver Novillo, aluminum trim doesn't look the best.

I've done that once, pulled the cord out the wall. My excuse was being really tired. I only got 1hr if sleep and I had to drop someone off

Yup, same thing happened. Pulled the cord out the wall.

My excuse - I was too busy installing GoPro near the exhaust and completely forgot about the battery tender in the excitement.
