That is a major issue for shops these days. The problem is that the users with actual apples to apples experience usually aren't the ones posting or wanting to rock the boat. "Forum knowledge" is usually promulgated by post whores seen as experts due to their post count, or from trickle down hearsay someone heard from someone else who probably didn't know either. Forums can be a great source of information to counter those 'bad shops' out there, but on the other hand half of whats online is misinformation to begin with.

They're not, but BMW claims the fluids are "lifetime" and should never need to be serviced. There is indeed a drain/fill procedure. Some dealers won't even change the fluid because of that.

My dealer doesn't even stock DCT trans fluid, says "there's never a need for it, so we don't stock it." I needed an additional two liters for a fluid change after replacing my gaskets. Had to drive to another dealer 1.5 hours away.

800 I feel about right. I guess depending on location too

But it should with filter replacement I'm guessing.
Cause the flush itself is almost 2 hours and my shop charges 125 an hour ... everything provided by them so that's like close 300 with tax let's say so if it's just for flush that's way to exp ....

To do the filter replacement it actually more what they quoted me. 3 hours labor give or take and total flush and filter change was like 700ish so close 800
