Just hit 90k on my 2008 E90 M3 6spd last week.
I purchased the car at 86k as second owner and have a fat binder of all service history from day one when first owner (who lived local to me) bought the car. Happily adding more miles! |

Went over 90K this weekend. The only thing that has been done is a replacement of the DCT gasket as far as I can tell. I've had it since 59K miles. Runs like a top and Blaskstone reports are perfect...

2009 E90 M3
- Owned since new, and racked up 162,000kms/101,000miles. - Not a single issue, going to be replacing my bearing this week and possibly engine mounts if needed (highly likely)

Has anyone had to change their starter motor or alternator? Whether 08-11 or 11-13 models ? GM |

Wow. Just saw the 180k mile post! And I thought mine was a lot at 93k. That is badass! Awesome to know that if you throw a little bit of money for maintenance these cars will still keep pulling...unlike MANY other cheaper cars that seem to just fall apart no matter how much you seem to throw at them.

Just hit 100k
Original rod bearings, TBA's and clutch!
Only thing that has failed has been the low pressure fuel sensor. All fluids changed very regularly, new battery and pads all round recently. Oil sent off for Blackstone analysis. Changed thermostat, water pump, idler and belts at 100k as preventative maintenance. |

Rod bearings changed at 102,400 miles due to that spike in lead readings on the blackstone report not dropping on the next one after 4500 miles on the oil. They didn't look terrible (for S65 bearings) but didn't look great either. It was time. Still on the original other big known "wear" items (Throttle actuators, clutch). Has just under 104,000 on it now.
