Someone correct me if I am wrong. I just recently bought a new set of 60/40 trophy kit but didn't install it yet.
You will 100% need knockback springs with ST60/ST40 Trophy’s. That still doesn’t 100% resolve it but it’s much better.

Buying AP’s and selling my Trophy’s fixed it 100%. First negative experience I’ve had with Stoptech... but the E92 kit was not impressive for me.
That's exactly what one of my buddies did. Sold his stoppies for AP and never looked back.

I also run AP in the front with zero knockback issues.

Do you think the AP's are worth the $1000+ difference? Or does it depend on use case?

Depends if you want superior brakes at the track or to enter your car in beauty pageants.

If you are taking your car to the track, the APs are worth the cost difference.

Only if you can run the 9668 caliper with the 25mm thick pad, IMO. But I don't know a ton about how your car is setup, how often you track it, and how fast you are.

The 9660 is still pretty good. I've had no complaints with it. Although in retrospect, I should have just ran 9668 with a spacer to fit my 19" competition wheels (street driven only).

I would love to go AP.. But twice the price vs the ST is hard to swallow.. Although I've been shopping for the best price on AP stuff now..

So if I haven't felt knock back that means I'm slow right?

I wouldn't bother with that kit over the StopTech. It's one of their more street-focused setups.

Yas

I think some tracks are more prone to bring it out though.

That's my experience as well. I had the ST60 Trophy kit and would get knockback at Turn 10 at Laguna (causing issues braking into turn 11) and going into Bus stop at Buttonwillow. I haven't experienced it at any other track including Auto Club, Big Willow, Chuckwalla, or Sonoma. Now that I know what corners might cause it, I just tap the brakes with my left foot going into those corners.

Buttonwillow is the worst for it. Into bus stop and Phil hill the pedal would just go to the floor. So frustrating.

I'm just wondering why i haven't noticed knockback bunch on my hotboi Rotora BBK. I only remember one time that it scared me. I've had better drivers try my car and one then noticed it at laguna. Maybe i just suck 🤣

I learned something new. Yeh.

Never heard about knock back, but now I know what is happening at NYST turn 9. Always kind of scared me.

Now I know I should settle the pads between 8 and 9.

Those brakes don't have anti-knockback springs?

Never had it on Phil Hill. You must be really flying through Riverside. Guess I need to step up my game.

They have a spring that presses on the pads. I don't know if that would be the anti knock back or other purpose.

They are generally behind the pistons. I don't know if it has ever been an external device.
