Or consider getting a PPF on there. My car has the previous gen 3M film (Invisiguard?), a whole body treatment installed when the car was new in 2011. Even though the windshield has a billion (I counted them) tiny stone chips in it, the paint looks perfect. The PPF did its job. I'll eventually have the glass replaced, but thats a lot easier to do then repaint the car.

Only drawback to the film, assuming you go top shelf and get XPel, its pricey. I think its $7k to get the whole car done with that stuff.
PPF would be nice on a spec like that, but it would require the 100% detail before being worth it... The detail is the key, then depending on how much he plans to drive it, add the PPF or Ceramic coating. But gotta get those dings and swirls fixed #1 on a 46K car.

I'm not a fan of Jerez but I'd say you scored. Any mods included?

no mods - which is what I wanted. Been looking a long time for an e93 m3 late in the production run with low miles. 1 owner with all service records was a huge plus.

jerez wasn't my first choice but that hint of blue in bright light does look cool.

car is home safe! I'm stoked on it, it's my dream car so it's worth it to me.

I want to get a detail like that but where should I go? I can't even find a place that will charge that much.. I'm looking at details, I see "full detail" for $210 from a mobile service with good reviews.

Please recs for somewhere in Los Angeles that will do my car justice in the 1.5-2k range?

While there are no doubt some mobile guys that do a perfect job and treat your car like a rare artifact, a lot of these guys use no-name products made by bulk product contractors, they do the job in the sun, and they use cloths and mitts with synthetic threads. For that reason, I can't recommend using a mobile detailer.

Happy for you! enjoy it! I would look for a professional speciality detailer... many search results for auto detailing are just people who are washing/deep cleaning cars. Search for ceramic coating, polishing, etc.. find a place that does supercars or primarily high end vehicles, and that's directionally the type of place you want doing this properly. It will be so worth it, they will teach you how to maintain and properly wash it, etc. I'm sure people on here can chime in on recommended shops, but just find the best one before you spend real $ on it.

2010 E92 M3, 56k miles, AW, 6 speed, Carbon Roof, EDC.

Mods: Dinan catback, black grilles and badges, CF wing. TB’s replaced at 46k with records.

Paid $27,100 private party. I suspect I overpaid a bit but I’m impatient.

I've already spec'd out $15k in mods, including RB's and paint correction/ceramic pro.

I picked up my E92 M3 2011 competition in September 2018. Car has All the bells and whistles. All maintenance done at 72000 KM but picked up at 76000 km. Includes throttle actuators.

Picked it up for 32500 CDN.

I don't think you overpaid that price seems great, especially considering one of the two big issues is already done.

It's truly impossible to speculate on that. Take two E90 M3s with identical 70k miles at this age; let's say they are even 2011 models, so have been on the road for 9 years. Now ponder one that was garaged 24/7, never driven on winter roads, owned by a crazed enthusiast so given royal treatment the entire time, and was never a daily driver. The second car had 3 owners, lived outside since new 24/7, driven year round up north on salt roads, and used as a daily driver commuter car.

In other words, especially at this age, the market will definitely value the car's history and condition in some cases significantly.

Garage List
2011 BMW M3 E90  [0.00]
Just bought one last week, getting it shipped up from NC as we speak to Boston (not an ideal location to preserve it with our weathers but oh well).

2011.5 E90 ZCP
mineral white with a sunroof
All packages, except premium sound
59k miles
$28k

Been garaged all it's life, one owner who doesn't drive it in the winters living in Asheville. Been searching for the better part of 2019 for something matching these specs to come around under 50k miles but it's been incredibly difficult. This was the best I could do with mileage and not being ridiculously overpriced. All original and OEM parts, had the throttle actuators and rotors replaced at 50k miles. Looking for an extended warranty now, seems as though Concord Auto Protect is the only one willing to bite the bullet, although not sure how accepting they are of claim payouts.

I think you did exceptionally well. I've been looking for sometime and the prices are kinda all over the place. And being a former owner, I totally understand where the private party sellers are coming from. The dealers though? I guess they want the cars to sit and sit on their lots. The most frustrating part of searching is even BMW Certified site can't differentiate 6mt from DCT. And some posts don't have enough pictures or none at all.
Half the cars have DCT when searching for a manual. Get a clue!
