U1118 code, battery issue? anything else?

Hey guys,

Quick questions about some things I noticed recently with my vehicle
Before I go ahead and change my battery, just want to rule out any other possibility

Battery is about 6 yrs old, drove about 30K miles during that time. In the past 1~2 yrs, had the car sit in garage 1 month to 3 months without use, recently been driving the car 1~2 times a week (~40 miles).

- Been noticing long crank when starting the engine
- Once i started my car, re-starting the engine does not show any long crank (starts right up)
- Recently had dash camera installed, been showing "increased emission, U1118 code". I disconnected the wire that allows parking mode of dash cam, since then the engine light was gone.
- Car does not start from time to time when I have my car unlocked for 5+ minutes, battery warning light comes on
- Dunno what's draining my battery because dash cam completely turns off when the engine is off (parking mode connection is physically eliminated)
- I use Cteck tender ALL the time when the car is not in use, but since last week, even a full day or 2 charging does not seem to charge the battery

Car throwing U1118 code again
Looking at the symptoms, I can tell this is most likely old battery/drained battery issue. Anything else?

Got the same error couple months back. Battery needed replacing. My batt was only 4yrs old, daily driven. So yours is definitely due.
