My '11 ZCP I picked up last month still has original Pirelli star tires. They are pretty dry rotted and noisy so definitely want to get some new rubber on there soon.
This is not my daily. Will never be driven in rain or snow. Only taken out on warm sunny days. I have been looking at the new Michelin PS4S which are probably great (had the PSS on my M4), but the idea of Pilot Port Cup 2s is pretty tempting. Overkill or worth it. Any other suggestions are appreciated as well. Solely looking for the best dry performance street tire. |

If its strictly a car for dry weather and you don't mind tire whine Toyo r888r are pretty much my favorite dry tire. I prefer them over my current PS4s.

I was in the same situation as you when I bought my '12. Dry rotted original Pirellis that would lose traction if you looked at them too hard. I've had a lot of different tires and PSS were the previous favorite although I felt they had a very narrow temperature operating window. I put PS4S on and holy moly they are the tits! Huge improvement over PSS in my opinion. Grip is astounding for this level of street tire and comfort/noise is very very good. I put them on my car with temps in 40s-50s and they worked very well. Now I'm into 60s-70s and they really hook up. I don't think you'll find a better tire for street use unless you want to deal with the compromises of track capable street tires.

I did exactly the same except 255/35 up front to keep the nimble steering feel. Such was the theory anyway and I feel a difference coming from 245s. How do you feel the 275 does up front?

I love the 275 up front. I don't track the car so I don't have in depth input but for the street it has great feel. I have yet to feel any downgrade in the steering ability. Car also rides the smoothest and quietest it ever has on the ps4s.
