Not many cars are so good with high miles. Maybe just get another E92 with less miles. But why. Cheaper to keep her. Fix and go. Parts are higher priced because they're better. |

Yes, at 147000 miles by Lang Racing in Irvine. Bearings showed some wear but not catastrophic.
From 54k to 147k I did Blackstone samples and they were clear every time. The only major well known thing I haven't had to do yet is throttle actuators. But shhh....don't say it out loud. |

~109k here on my 08 6MT
- Rod bearings were done at 108k and they looked ROUGH. Very glad I did them - I have a sliiiiiight driveline vibration when accelerating hard from a stop. Need to diagnose. Other than that, nothing really to mention. Everything works, no weird noises, no explaining things to people. I've owned 5 BMWs with over 100k miles and I think this one has held up as well as or better than any of them. |

72,000 miles on my 08 E90. Owned it since 55k miles 3 years ago.
In the last 10k miles I have done: 1. Rod Bearings- Pulled at 70k miles and they looked decently worn. 2. Motor Mounts- Did these when I did the RB's. 2. Thermostat- I live in Arizona so this was a must for me just for preventative reasons. 3. Spark plugs 4. Ignition Coils- Had a misfire in a few cylinders so just replaced them all. Original brakes and TA's.

106,XXX miles here.
Replaced alternator 900 miles ago. Power steering has a leak. Original bearings and TBAs. Planning to do RBs soon. Sounds and runs very nicely. I generally drive short distances during the week and do 1-2 rolling take offs a day (from a right turn going 15 mph to 80 mph onto the freeway). |

83k on my 2008 e90 M3
Single owner, has been well driven, and only two repair items outside of tires, brakes, fluids, and battery replacements. Solid as a rock. Those two: - 70k, Throttle Actuators, bank 1 went, replaced both, received goodwill relief from BMW NA - 83k, rod bearings & engine mount replacement by MRF Engineering, see pictures below and major grooving at cylinder 1 & cylinder 8. Dodged a bullet?

Thanks for the photos, very handy, most look ok bar the 2 cyls you mention.
Btw, you've typo'd with the mileage somewhere, you say it's done 82k, yet the brgs were done at 83k! PS, looking at getting an M3 e92 myself , never thought I'd be able to own one, but I can do it . It will be cosseted, & only be a weekend/fair weather car, I couldn't afford to run it as a DD & nor do I want to rack loads of miles on it! I do intend to track it occasionally though. Phrozen06 Have you sold your M3 now? Your profile seems to say so IIRC. How many miles did you clock up on it in the end? |

173,xxxkms on my 08 E92, original rod bearings as far as I know, black stone lab reports seem healthy as well.
May end up doing the rod bearing this winter while it's stored away. I track the car often and maybe one day plan on super charging it. Car is healthy and happy as of right now, knock on wood. |
