best springs for e93 m3
Thoughts between eibach h&r or rdsport?
I had h&r on my e90 m3 and like them, but an 93 its a bit heavier and with the hardtop vert it rattles over bumps/pot holes (i live in la). Rdsport has the lowest drop of 1.25 where as both eibach and h&r are 1 in front .6 in back. I surprised h&r is the same height as the eibachs. I know eibachs are the most comfortable, i just dont want to get them and still feel like its riding high. i plan on sticking w 19s most likely as 20s just seem to big, so maybe they'll sit right with eibachs and some spacers.. Thoughts? |

I purchased Eibachs for the same reason as most people, the ride is meant to be more comfortable than the H&R's and yet the drop is the same.. I never installed them though because of Winter, not too keen on storing them until Spring either. So if you want a set just look at my sig, won't find a better price anywhere..

I was gonna say the KW Adjustable springs too. Since they're adjustable and EDC compliant, it makes it a great set up for the E9X M3. The adjust ability part for me is a huge benefit compared to H&R and Eibach.

We've installed the B&G, H&R and even RD Sports on e92 Convertibles, either will be perfectly fine. The RD Sports will be the most significant drop of the 3, while still playing nice with EDC.

I've been thinking about springs for my e93 as well. How do springs alone effect tire wear? From past experience, the rears will wear really bad on the inside. Is this true for eibachs on e93?

Whenever you change the ride height you affect the geometry. Always get an alignment after the suspension has settled. As long as you are still within specs you will get maximum tire life.

If you really want to go the whole hog... get some coilovers. I have Bilstien PSS10s on mine and they are more comfortable than OEM.. alot lower and better handling. But they do come at a price.
I cannot comment on the others as I havent tried.

How do the coilovers effect tire wear on the inside of the rear tires? Does everything still wear flat and even as stock would?

So if you have an aggressive alignment with stock suspension it'll wear more than a conservative alignment with coilovers installed
