It's been 60 days since I locked in my interest rate. I need to re lock in again. I dont know how ppl who wait more than 3 month gets to keep their low interest rates.....

My car is there too!! It's just sitting there for a week now. (must be some party going on there!)
But i am not in that much of a hurry, since I am not planning to drive it during the winter anyway. (March is kinda winter here in Omaha, NE)

I heard it'll take them 1 week to prepare the car at the VPC and then more time to transport to ur local dealer. and I wonder if there's a delay from getting off the boat to the VPC facility.

oh and today, the 1800# said my car is in transit!! lol

A high five for you, then. I believe the east coast prep center is in New Jersey, and the west coast center is in Oxnard.

Oxnard is about 5 miles from the port where the Chiba is going to land, and my dealer is about 20 miles away, so the transit time between each should be measured in minutes. Obviously, it'll be somewhat longer for those living elsewhere.

My dealer is about a six-hour drive from Oxnard. He emailed today to say the boat will get into port on the 28th (contrary to the Port Hueneme site that says the 26th, and contrary to the Port Bremerhaven site that says the 27th), and that I'm looking at delivery 1st week of March. He confirmed I'm on the Hoegh Chiba.

Is anyone having any luck tracking the Chiba? It's not visible on vesseltracker.com or the site posted on m3forum.net. I know it's not scheduled to hit Panama until the 16th, but the obsessive-compulsive in me would like to follow its movements constantly.

Unfortunately, no. Once it gets closer to shore, we may get more data, but the NYK ships are painfully behind the times GPS-wise.

I look at it as a wash - I could wait for the Medea with W&W's gps tracking, or get the car a week sooner with the Chiba.

I just went to the Wilhelmsen site. Teh Manon is due on 2/16. It was originally 2/15. I have not checked for a couple days though. Although you CA guys have great weather, we east coasters get our M3s faster!

I ordered in mid December. I received notice in mid January it was in production. Then to dock on the 26th or so. Everything has progressed as per expectation. Knock on wood.

Seems like around 3/18-22 is thew magic day for me! Well, Erin Go Bragh!! That's a St. Paddy's day wish if I ever had one.

Well I talked to my CA, I'm actually coming in from the west coast - on the Tombarra which is due to arrive on 3/8. Then another 10-14 days to dealer here in Denver. That puts her in my hands between 3/18-22!!! Luck of the Irish... that's a St. Paddy's day wish I ever had one!! Trading in my Guinness for some driving gloves this year...

It's back on vesseltracker.com again. The ship is sitting offshore of the canal on the Caribbean side. It's probably waiting its turn to be let through.

According to sailwx, the Manon (the ship I am on), reported a position about 400 miles off of NYC as of 2/16 1800 hours. It is scheduled to arrive today. I guess it should have arrived this morning.

Yup, right this moment, it's just exited the canal, traveling at 13knots, next stop is San Diego, where it's scheduled to arrive at 01:00 2/25 UTC (which is, I think 7:00pm PST on 2/24) - more or less exactly a week from right now.

I signed up on like Wednesday or Thursday for the 2-week trial to aislive.com, but nothing happened until today when I got a call and she wanted to know what I was interested in - I just leveled with her and told her that I was only interested in the free trial, because I'm just tracking the boat my car is on, and it's a one-time thing. She said okay, but that she'd only give me one week instead of two, and it just went active this afternoon. If someone wants to, they can request an account in a few days to try to get us coverage for the final stretch.

Sucks the canal webcams were down all day - I happened to hit aislive right when the boat was going through the locks that there's an HD cam for, but the cam was down

I'm on the Tombarra going to Port Hueneme. I went to Sail.wx and typed 'Tombarra' in the ship search field. It said 'No ship found'. What am I doing wrong?

My M3 is now at the VPC in NJ. Been there for a few days. My SA said 21/22 it will be on his lot. The end is NEAR!
