So added this to my previous write for those of you thinking about doing the same thing.

Be advised this stuff (3M body filler) will form a bond with the height adjuster. I let the stuff dry overnight before putting the height adjuster back in but it formed a bond nonetheless so if you want to avoid this go another route. Thinking about it now, painting over the exposed areas and using a large rubber isolator would have worked well. I am okay with it and I doubt the bond is very strong.

After I posted last night I did some googling. Have you looked into the "string method?" All you need are some jack stands and string and if you're patient it can be just as accurate as the $$ alignment machines.

This bond may be a good thing. Then when you adjust the rear ride height you don't have to worry about it spinning.

Yes that is the old school method. I simply matched up the eccentric washers from side to side which gave me the little bit of toe I think I needed.

Yeah it actually helps when I do the small adjustments.

A few new things arrived this week. A big change for the exterior, a lighted ZHP knob which might end up in my E36 and a clever spark plug puller.

Here is a pic from a photo shoot I did almost two years ago. I had not seen this and by chance found it on a few social media sites.

The car is no longer on green wheels and the Varis wing is soon to be gone. Sad in a way as I really did love the car in this configuration. But now that the car is little older (2 years now) I am setting it up to be another DD along with my E36.

Yet to be determined but nothing soon either. The E92 and E36 will both be getting some attention in the short term. I am going to take the E92 in a slightly different direction style and power wise and continue to give my 170K mile E36 some love.

Loved how the car looked originally. Love the current look on the gold wheels as well. Glad to hear you will be keeping it in the family

Yeah I don't think I could ever sell it. I just know I would always kick myself.

Are you saying their adapter can allow you to use any shift knob?

Not really no. It will accept any "threaded on" shift knob that matches the adapter and thread size though.

Are you going NA, J? If so, welcome back, my friend. You, too, will soon remember the overwhelming joys of dropping 20 lbs. and adding 30 hp.
