Tune

Going to install the Dinan X-pipe to go with the catback on my car next week and would like to get a software tune so I don't throw any check engine lights as well as get a lil more power of course Anyone have any suggestions on where to go?I'm here in SoCal.

Had the Dinan specific tune for the racing middle section. Changed over to the BPM tune a little while back. Elimination of the cold start roar was enough to justify the BPM tune.

BPM and Dinan take different approaches to tuning for a high flow mid-section. I'm happy with the smoother throttle response of the BPM tune. Dinan "might" have had a little stronger top end, but I have no real evidence other than my feeble memory. Fuel mileage appears to be similar between the two.

I don't think you can go wrong with either tune. Just keep in mind that the cold start with a Dinan mid-section is really loud. Your neighbors WILL notice. For me, that is the real difference between the tunes. The BPM tune eliminates the 20 seconds or so of cold start when you first start the car in the morning.

Looks like BPM seems to be the favored one. Any other options to consider other than BPM or Dinan?

We're in SoCal also, particularly - Anaheim.

We offer the E-Flash from ESS, and can provide a before/after dyno on your car to gauge power results. Feel free to drop by anytime.

Had Dinan tune and switched to BPM...couldn't be happier and right now you can get the servotronic thrown in for free! WIN WIN!

Didn't want to spend money twice on a tune but I'm glad I did.

You don't need a place...it's all done remote nowadays. ESS provides you a USB to OBDII connector, you can do it all yourself on your laptop. I think BPM also has this.

ESS and Evlove. Evolve is suppose to be offering a DCT tune free soon if you buy their tune. Just keep in mind, a tune is most effective if you get rid of the primary cats/all cats.

We can tune it remotely and it includes the 240E update as well.

We are also offering servotronic steering changes included but only for a limited time:
