That's ok. I'm fine with it......I mean, on the Discord audio chat, I complain about my crappy driving and curse at myself!! But, I'm happy to put this series on and hang out with people on the chat. We have a lively banter on Discord! Lots of MCS vs JRZ, and PFC vs AP Racing banter!....... I'm taking a beating on Discord about my JRZs.....sigh----so many MCS fan boyz......I learned a long time ago, you just can't teach good taste! hahahaha All I need now is Casey from Racewerkz to join in on the racing because he's the biggest MCS fan and then the circle of MCS fan boyz will be complete! Whether we continue after this series is complete is really up to everyone else. Clearly, several of the guys who have been racing have been doing this for a long time and have serious rigs, so I'd guess that further interest is possible. But first, I have to see if I can get through 10 laps at Sonoma tonight......Tuesday's practice race was rough...... I think this emoji is going to be my most used one for the rest of the series.......

Week 2 at Sonoma is in the books! The track in Assetto Corsa is very bumpy. And there's no doubt Sonoma is very challenging.
Andrew Lim nabbed the race win. tsk94 is always a major threat and won the qualifying bonus points. The lap times from the top guys continue to be impressive. Thundermoose and Stevosport Lee were duking it out for several laps with Thundermoose holding on. For my part, I struggled, and then the server had connection issues and kicked me out of the race. I was already in last, but it was annoying nonetheless to get kicked off my own server..... Here are the results: This week, we visit Watkins Glen. Tonight is the standalone race and Thursday will be the series race. It's cool that everyone was on the Discord chat during the last race. I'm enjoying chatting with this group. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there!

We added a new driver on Tuesday night, and I think it's fair to say that he's done this a couple times before......hehe niacin joined us and....uhhh.....made a decent showing on Tuesday. Won qualifying and the race. He'll be back tonight. We'll see if anyone can reel him in!
niacin is a SoCal dude. We've known each other for years. We've done track events together all up and down CA. He's done well in Bimmer Challenge with his E46. Solid on the track. I had no idea he was ready to drop the hammer in the sim world. Now I'm sorry I invited him! Wait....I'm bringing up the rear.....what the hell do I care? I enjoyed Tuesday's race until the 9th lap. I was chasing Thundermoose the whole race---I was right there for 8 laps, and then I put it in the wall in lap 9. argh. Anyway, the series race is tonight. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there! Hey SQ13 that means you too!!

Week 3 of Dogbone Racing at Watkins Glen is in the books. And we had some good competition out there.
tsk94 took the win in both qualifying and the race! niacin put in a strong first series race with second place. Here are the standings: Tonight we move to Buttonwillow 13CW for the practice race, and then the series race at Buttonwillow is on Thursday.

Hey
Not sure if this was mentioned before but I didnt see it in your table of contents. Firstly, incredible build and I’m sure you’re well aware that this acts as a repository for quite essential and hard to come by information. So thank you for that. Im wondering if you know the details of how the A/C was removed, considering that I believe 09+ cars have a different belt system and you cant just replace the belt once it’s removed. |

As far as removing the A/C, I don't have any info on that. Racewerkz Engineering did that work and I didn't ask them the specific process at the time. If my recollection is correct, I think removing the A/C and heater, saved around 40lbs. I will reach out to Racewerkz and see if they can give me any other details.

I also noticed that you had a mini batter before getting the voltfreaks. Wondering where you sourced this (or if u have a part number) as those have not been sold for a while now. Thx again!! |
