Front Lip Comparisons
I've decided on the look I'm going for with the front lip but now I have three manufacturers with three different price points.
I'd like feedback to see if you get what you pay for or if there is a price-performer in this group. Status Gruppe Carbon Addiction JL Motoring |

Another thing to consider is usage. Are you lowered? Do you have a steep driveway entry or steep entries to places that you may visit? Do you track the car at all? A yes to any of those questions may dictate that you go with a cheaper option, because you won't feel nearly as bad about damaging/destroying it. |

2. Yes, I enter my driveway and some businesses one wheel at a time currently. Speed bumps/humps are the same. 3. I do not track the car. I may take a HPDE class but that would be it. I do agree with your points. I've wanted to find a similar shape in non-carbon because I don't want to fret too much about damage/destruction but I've found it difficult to find many options in non-carbon. |

That said, my car is track only. I can't remember where exactly, but some members here have had decent experiences with the eBay splitters. Cheap to replace if you really do some damage to it too |

Some people call me the splitter expert and by some people I mean me. I'm on my 6th splitter in the last 3 years. I'm lowered on H&R Sport springs and have 4" of clearance in the front.
1. 2 x JB Speed https://jl-motoring.com/collections/...iber-front-lip These look great, fitment was great but the issue is teh clear coat. The CF will chip when you have a front strike (usually in the spot if you draw a like directly from steering wheel center to front bumper). That was fine but at some point clear coat cracks and then it's just shit. The clear coat star cracks and there's nothing worth doing at that point. $399 a piece. Never doing that again. 2. 1 x Maxton Design lip - Cheap plastic - $179 https://www.ecstuning.com/b-maxton-d...92mfd1-gloss~/ I went with this one because it was a lot narrower and gave more clearance and lasted a bit longer. However it's clear coated and black and plastic - once you have a crack it starts weakening the area, the stress marks turn white and it just looks bad. 3. Got this one and it's quite sturdy. Took a lot of beating but I just didn't like the high sided look to it so I got rid of it. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3261...27424c4dZOvSmU 4. 2 x PU splitter - This one was also pretty hardy. I decided to come up with a plan to reinforce the PU with ABS so I traced the bottom of the splitter (not all of it, just the two sides that come down the lowest) and then had a 1/4" ABS sheet cut in that shape. Then I glued and bolted on the lower abs strike pads (as I called them) and it worked very very well. https://www.ebay.com/itm/251955786278 5. Currently rocking this one and I love it. I switched from the PU one purely for aesthetic reasons to try and see what matte CF looks like. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fits-08-14-...72.m2749.l2649 I also moved to acrylic strike pads since they were easier for me to cut at home vs going to get the ABS done at Tap Plastics and waiting a week. ABS probably is better though I would do a 1/8" strike pad next time. |

I just found out about this company courtesy of CSL_DNA https://360carbon.de/en/shop/bmw-m-c...3-e90-e92-e93/
Looks like they make a great product at an attractive price. I've ruled out any of the cheap-o carbon fiber options as I feel they just wreck the look of the car. I've pretty much narrowed it down to this GTS replica lip linked above if I go with anything. Just thought I'd throw another option at ya.

If you want a similar style lip that extends to the edge, POM has this one available: https://pomperformance.com/all-produ...iber-front-lip

They answered back. GB is a possibility, but they are limited to 2-3 pcs / week in manufacturing capacity. They are already on backorder on 2 weeks as of now. I think saving on shipping could be possible as it is around 175 € to North America. They're open to it! I'll see what they say. |

Epoustouflant Count me in if there is a group buy. I'm in for an upperlip only. They said the cost for shipping is the same for the full GTS lip, and the upper only too.

We kinda bombard OP post with one option. I think there will be a new thread once details are sorted out.

No worries about the thread jack, the discussion did uncover many lip options. I was considering participating in the group buy but I am going the cheap route first to see how the lip holds on our California roads 😎
