I'll tell you why you don't know... Because your experience and knowledge isn't up to that level.
Wow.... Don't know Paul Dalton, and honestly don't care. I use Meguiars Prefessional Polymer Sealant 20 which I'm quite happy with. Provides excellent protection for black cars in sunny hot weather.

LOL! this thread has turned into an e-battle. Everybody uses different products just like how we all use different soaps for our own bodies. What you choose for YOUR car is YOUR choice. It's not like everybody is using Brillo pads to wash their cars (I know someone who actually did lol, THAT I pretty much yelled at him for doing so).

Some of you guys need to let it go haha. It's wax, it may not be the best of the best, or scratch the least, but afterall, it's a CAR. If the owner likes it, leave it as that. We ALL know there's "better" stuff out there...to each their own.

Don't get me started on ppl running replica BBS and Volks haha jk

In my case it'll be rep HRE's lol

Anyway. Yes it's true. I've opened up Pandora's F'n box it would seem. Just for the record, I am talking about a quick detail or spray down after a normal soap n water wash. When I use a wax, I usually do so after a regular car treatment which involves a wash, clay bar and wax using Meguiars Professional HI-TECH Yellow wax 26. That is my favorite wax and it's what works for me.

BUT... that's not the point of this thread so...

Where do you get that Hi Tech wax? Easy to put on?

Lol I'm still laughing at the people arguing about uber expensive waxes. In all honesty, BMW paint from the factory is crap, I can see orange peel on my drivers door and the dealer said that's on a lot of cars (he pointed at the brand new X6M in the showroom). My NSX had a better paint job than my M3 haha. Sigh.

Anyways, back on track...anybody try this out? I can't really try it bc I don't have a black car lol

Well I could have sworn that I got it at the local Kragen but they don't carry it anymore. I've had my one remaining bottle for awhile now and it still has about a quarter left which I will use on a full detail tomorrow so I'm going to have to find this stuff again.

It's the easiest wax I've ever used. Absolutely NO powdery residue when it dries and it comes to buffing off with microfiber. You can even use the stuff in direct sunlight (although I don't recommend that). It really protects for a good while too while remaining glossy.

Ahh right on, I've always hated the powdery residue that comes with taking off the wax. I'm kinda finding out that some products work well on certain areas, or in combination. like the auto finesse tripple did wonders on my water spotted window trim etc. but the Meguiars cleaner wax did the section under my door handles better...

I believe the cleaner wax has a slight abrasive quality which would explian under the door handles since they take a beating with fingernails and whatnot. I have a little bottle of Mothers cleaner wax. I'll give that a try today on my detail.

Grill

Who painted your grill, it is hidden and sleek. I like it..

If you drive a jet black like me (or even the jerez) then you know all too well the rigors of keeping this thing clean. I found the product to work really well at making swirls and fine scratches go away. Whoever owned my car previous to me obviously took good care of the paint as I do and I get comments on it all the time. For an '08 I have to say, it looks as if it just rolled off the showroom floor.
