Flapping Noise on Deceleration

Hey everybody. I'm getting a weird flapping noise under the car, seems to happen only on deceleration. When I take my foot off the gas the noise starts, and I'm pretty sure it's connected to wheel speed, not RPMs since the flapping slows down until I get to a full stop. Haven't noticed any noise on acceleration at all.

I tried jacking up the car and rotating the wheels by hand, but couldn't recreate it. Only other thing I can think of is something up with the driveshaft? Any ideas on how to diagnose? Car is an 08 E90, 6MT, about 75k miles.

delaminating tire, guibo coming apart, odd alignment issue(ball joint going out), maybe something in the wheel well at the top brushing the tire on decel by the front dipping into the well and touching.

If you take the car out of gear and coast, does the sound go away?

No, sound continues on coasting.

I would start by getting under the car and looking for obvious signs of damage or anything that's rubbing. It could be something stupid like a bent heat shield, piece of debris caught on something, loose wheel weight, etc.

You might need to get the car up on a lift and have someone sit in the car to manage the throttle. These problems are notoriously difficult to diagnose.

I've been under the car, haven't seen anything obvious unfortunately. Thanks for the advice, I'll get it up on a lift and see if I can find anything.
