OEM ZCP Wheels: How Glossy? What are these wheels??

I was at Perillo Chicago awhile back and there was a yellow M3 and an orange M3 parked indoors, on either side of a white M3. The white M3 in the middle has the silver OEM wheels, but both the orange and yellow cars had the black wheels.

When I looked closer though, the black wheels on the yellow car looked more "matte" and the black wheels on the orange M3 looked more "glossy."

What is the difference between these two wheels?? Can anyone tell?? I want the matte ones on the yellow car! Which are OEM? Is one powdercoated and the other painted? Is one actually the Avant Garde M359? Is the Avant Garde more or less matte than OEM? Does one just have some cleaner on it that makes it look glossy? You can see a bunch of chips on the Orange one- does that mean it is painted? Is the OEM ZCP painted or pcoated?

Any help GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Both look oem but the orange ones look painted or powedercoated. I could be completely wrong though.

The normal black GTS wheels have a finish in between a matte and gloss. It's more of a satin. Not sure what the discrepancy is about there but my guess is the yellow is too dull to be an OEM black gts wheel.

Thanks guys. Can anyone else tell?

Blindside- you have the Avant Garde reps right? I just saw those in person yesterday so I have a feel for how glossy they are. Have you seen the BMW GTS wheels in person to compare to your AG's? Are yours more glossy than the OEM's or vice versa?

I have the OEM GTS wheels. It looks to me like both the orange and yellow cars have the OEM GTS rims, the orange one may have wheel wax or something that makes it look glossier. I think the orange car is the Lime Rock Park edition which had the GTS wheels standard.

My wheels look closer to the yellow car's wheels, they are definitely more on the satin/ matte side than glossy. Here's a pic of my wheel that hasn't been cleaned in a couple of weeks.

Thanks! Yes the Orange one was a lime rock park edition. I figured it had stock gts wheels which is why I am hesitant to get them because I didn't like how glossy they were... Sounds like I will like the satin gts...

I recently installed the OEM GTS wheels on my E90. When clean with a little quick detailer on them, they have a bit of a sheen to them. But once they get dirty, they become very matte. Because of their satin finish, everything sticks to them.

These are mine after they had a wash and some Sonax Net Shield applied:

To revive a thread I started a few months back- in case it helps anyone, I ended up getting the OEM Matte Black (satin black) GTS Wheels from Tischer (getbmwparts.com). They are amazing. They are exactly what I wanted and resemble the wheels on the yellow car, not the orange limerock car. They are not glossy at all (and I'll be avoiding any shiny wheel wax to keep it that way).

I have them paired with AD08R tires in stock 245/265 sizes. I also have on 12f/10r spacers. Stock ZCP suspension. For an OEM+ look, I think it looks awesome! The AD08R tires and black wheels make it look so much more aggressive than my old silver ones. It looks so good I'm still surprised I actually own it when I walk up . White on black looks amazing in person. Cameras struggle to handle the contrast though. Also- tiny bit of rubbing in the rear on big highway bumps with this setup.

Cheers!
