Advan RZ-DF?

I was looking for forged monoblock wheels made by a trusted company. That narrowed my choices down to Volk/Advan/BBS.

My next requirement was it had to be 19x10 front and 19x11 rear.

This brought me to Advan RZ-DF's. According to the Yokohama website, it appears that these are their only wheels that come in these widths.

I've found a couple of cars on this forum who are running this model of wheel. But honestly, the execution didn't look too great to me.

However, they are forged by Rays so we know they are quality wheels and they are light. Is there a reason not more people have these? Is it the way it looks? On paper, the specs are perfect.

A buddy of mine had Advan RS-D's on his E92. They seem to be a very similar design to the RZ-DF. Not my cup of tea. I like the no lip design of the Advan RS much better. Japanese forged wheels are some of the best in the industry (if not these absolute best) but they're expensive. And sometimes people like to keep it in the euro family. Maybe that's why Advans are not as common?

I love the RZ-DF wheels. I have ruled them out in the past because, until recently, they were only available in 9" front and 10" rear fitment. I prefer at least 9.5" / 10.5" in order to run my preferred tire sizing (275/295). I also generally prefer 18" wheels and they are only available in 19". Lastly they are relatively expensive. At the right price I would gladly run the new 10"/11" version. It's a great wheel. The best execution of the wheel was done by BarryC with his MR Sedan. I will see if I can find the thread...

Regarding the wheels, I put Vreds in 275/30/19 front and 295/30/19 rear and there's no rubbing and I saved 6.5lbs per wheel on the front and 8.5lbs per wheel on the rear (a 30lb reduction in unsprung weight!!) vs. the original ZCP wheels with Vred 255/35/19 and 275/35/19.

I'd like to thank Julius at WSTO, Ilia at IND, Peter at ACG, Evan at Tischer and Aleks at Alekshop for all the help on getting the car to this point! I'm really happy with how the car has turned out!

If they're good enough for a 911, they should be good enough for me.

Looks like you're in the L.A. area? I'd love to check them out when they come in!
