no water used well wet microfiber towel my way to do it personal preference that's all

I sprayed my engine like that on my E90 and now my AC wont go past the 3rd level it just blows the same even on high. Did i short something out?

It's likely a coincidence. The blower is inside the cabin behind the dash.

Like Roastbeef says blower under/behind the glove box. May be coincidence - been washing my engine with water for years with gentle spray - but I did have a noisy blower that made me take it out and lubricate, which was easy. Suggest you take a look, maybe take it out or check cabling to start with. Water can certainly come in that way which is a reason to rosty cables incl BMW call back on this very harness.

That looks outstanding. I do the same thing, just a wet microfiber and some elbow grease.
