What's a good quality tire pressure guage?

Any recommendation for a good quality tire pressure guage?

Best gauge I have ever used. Remains accurate even if dropped.

You can get it at Sears/Kmart for $9.00. Check dealnews.com.

Ergonomically speaking, not even in the same ball park with the accutire, but a quality gauge nonetheless.

Hear you on that, but I just off center the connection to bleed off pressure if I need to.

The intercomp allows you to hold the large, easy to read, gauge pointed towards you while you use your thumb to press the bleed valve to release air / adjust the tire pressure. The accutire is definitely in a different league but not a better one. It's a $10 product that is sized to throw in your glove box.

Am I reading that correct, the Accutire max out the readings at 28.5 psi??! I'm running oem tires so I need a guage that goes at least 36 psi

Well that is exactly what we are talking about. We aren't racing Indy here.

When the OP asked for a "good quality tire pressure gauge" I assumed that he was taking the time to post in this forum because he wanted "quality". If the OP would have asked for a "decent, plastic pressure gauge, that I can throw in my glove box with a max budget of $10" then I would have suggested something different...

It is digital and accurate up to .05psi, you can use one hand, has a bright red LED with digital readouts. Don't see that as being low quality. Just because something is inexpensive doesn't make it "cheap". Contrarily something that is expensive doesn't necessarily make it "better".

Your gauge is cool because it allows you to quickly tweak pressure. Its definitely a more substantial gauge.

I'm glad it's working for you. I'm sure it does the job.

Ok gents, I've reviewed both recommendations and they have their plus and minuses. I don't mind the extra dollar for something that last longer, reliable and accurate. Think I'll get the Intercomp.

Thanks guys, much appreciated! 😊

Accuracy is usually best in the middle range of the gauge, so if you run 30-40 psi, buy a 60 psi gauge not a 100 psi gauge. There are a bunch of good ones, Accutire, Intercomp, Longacre and others. Probably the liquid filled are best, but cost more. My old Accutire disappeared this year at the dragstrip. I replaced it with a $20 Joe's Garage gauge.

This. $50~ for a very accurate, easy to read air pressure gauge is what you want. Skip the water filled versions and they are irritating to some how they bleed off pressure. I've used/borrowed the digital Accutire gauge in a extreme pinch and hated it. I've got two of the Joe's Racing air gauges sitting around for winning FTDi at some oddball event and use them in my regular daily driver cars.

I use the Intercomp and love the bleed valve. Makes setting the exact pressure convenient. Just overfill them slightly, bleed down to exactly what you want. No guess, check, add more air, check again, dang it - too much, bleed some out etc etc.

We sell a pretty good mix of different gauges, but this one is the one I use myself.

Can't go wrong with any of the gauges listed in this thread. They are all listed in C&D's list.
