If i had to buy a new car today it would still be an F8X M. The thing is, at this point I can just enjoy my E92 and E90 M!
If i need more speed for the track I can get an F80 down the road Last edited by SYT_Shadow; 09-22-2017 at 01:55 PM.. |

Yes I had an early 15M3 and then the 16 M4 comp pack. The comp pack was a vast improvement over the standard car in both driveability and sound.
Dave07997S thats my struggle right now. My history shows if I buy an automatic ill get bored quickly but the number of nice low mile manuals is rare. My 11e92 was DCT and I didnt keep it very long. |

IMHO, you should go with the 6MT, especially if it's not going to be your DD. Personally, I've driven the F8x pretty extensively, and while I like it, I don't like it more than my E92 M3, or my Z4MR to be honest. Same goes for the M2, although adding an S55 to the mix might change it a little for me. Personally, I'm happy with what I got, and the next purchases will be a 911 of some kind in the very distant future. Good luck with your search man!

ALL 2011-2013 were available with the two tone interior, the non two tone was more common in 11-13.

a beautiful thing about 6mt is it significantly increases your capability to be a cretin.
Dump the clutch at 20mph? Very easy to do. Want to rev up a bit while driving to say hello? 6mt has your back It also makes you think more and plan ahead Last edited by SYT_Shadow; 09-25-2017 at 12:49 PM.. |

I've been getting offers from my local dealership to trade in my 2013 E92 for an F82 for only $42 more per month than what I'm paying now. I was considering it, but then I drove my car this weekend.
Did a rolling 5mph start in 1st to get on the freeway onramp. Redline, shift to 2nd, redline again. There was a sound wall on the right of the ramp so my exhaust was kind of amplified. The motor was screaming, it was soo loud! I was already doing 90 mph so I had to cut it. What is the point of an M4 anyways? You can get to 90mph in like 4 seconds. After that, you're seriously asking to go to jail. And the sound during the whole thing sucks. I'm reminded of the dude leaving that Cars and Coffee event trying to gun it in front of a group of people. The car sounded like crap and he wound up jumping the median due to all the low end torque. Looked like a total douche. Got home and threw the trade offer away. I'm keeping my E92 until the wheels fall off. |

Wow so the F8x was that bad for you to get back into an E9x? I wonder if they can get back on track with the G8x platform. I'm not holding my breath...

BTW, I have 3 friends, a few on this board that have done the exact same thing. Sold their F8X cars and gotten back into a E9X M3. Dave

Its not that its bad. Its a different driving experience is the way I would put it. But if you thrive on sound and feel the E9x is the best all around M made IMO.

The reason why it's so hard to leave the E9X is the NA engine, which is just phenomenal. It's fast enough and sounds like pure, unadultured glory with a louder exhaust. The F series, G series and whatever else together with its competitors all sound like crap and give you a ton of low end torque which does little other than overwhelm the tires. This also happened with the E60 M5 to the F10, where many mags complained that the soul was lost in search for moaaarr power!! The biggest difference in that case and the E9X one is the S65 finally had low pressure vanos which is pretty much bulletproof and is a very reliable platform other than the rod bearings. |
