Door card speaker and door handle DIY?

Hello,

I'm in the process of removing the speaker and door handle surround on my 2008 E92 M3, but after removing the door card itself and looking in the back, it looks like they are secured by what looks like plastic rivets with glue in the center (see photos). Anyone have experience removing these? Will these rivets be reusable?

Thanks!

The plastic rivets are not reusable.

There are clips that secure the speaker grille. No need to remove rivets.

As for the handle surround. There are two torx bolts on the backside of the handle, and clips securing the handle base.

Thank you so much!! I'll give it a try in the next few days again.

Do you twist the clips to release the speaker?

No, gently pry the silver tab towards the center of the speaker grille. Be careful since too much force can break the mounting tab.
