TireRack mounted and balance question..not balanced correctly upon install
Is there any kind of warranty on the mounting and balancing on the wheels and tires I ordered? The tires are out of balance pretty bad. Going 65 the steering wheel is shaking really bad and they have been on the car for only 2 days and I have not hit anything.

Make sure they were installed correctly if you have not done so already. Otherwise - I do not know, would be interesting to hear from TR. But balancing couple tires should be pretty cheap...

Balancing that size tire and wheel is not easy; techs need to know what the hell they're doing. I had to take mine THREE freaking times until they were finally balanced correctly. And the weird thing is every time the weights were in totally different locations, when the same darn machine was used . Apparently offset, wheel width, diameter, and complete tire size had to be input into the Hunter 9700 machine for proper balancing. Before they just slapped the tire in the machine and that was it. Both previous times nothing seemed wrong until I hit about 70 mph.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, we will take care of it. Contact customer service at 877-522-8473 x360. The usual procedure is to reimburse you to have the tires rebalanced locally.
