Did another accel test 0-60 mph with the Alpine tune. Got a bad start but still managed to gain one-tenth over my best stock 0-60 run.

If you compare the graphs, my car is accelerating quite a bit harder on the top end with the Alpine Stg 1 tune.

Not an apples to apples test as my car is now heavier and with more unsprung weight...so the accel results could be even better.

0-60 mph 4.228 stock with Borla cat back

0-60 mph 4.145 Alpine Stg 1 tune, larger 255/275 tires and heavier brakes AND with the stock exhaust.

Conditions / density altitude were the same and launch technique same (MDM on no launch control just floor it from a dead stop).

Tune is working nicely.

Greatest customer service

Alex is hands down the best. I thought I'd bricked my DME (my fault). Alex not only successfully re-flashed my DME with 241e but also set me up with a great tune!

It's raining today so, I didn't run it too hard, but I will say when I did engage the M-drive the car reminded me why I bought it. I mean it set me back in my seat and brought a big smile to my face!

You cannot go wrong with Alex!

I'm a week into stage 1 with cold start delete, GTS DCT, and Euro MDM. I do have M-performance exhaust. The tuning process was more involved than I expected but it got completed. My car now feels smoother and faster and I feel that Euro MDM actually free'd up some power that the US nannies was slightly cutting from minor wheelspin. I do have one gripe though. My car is now more tamed. It is a little quieter, smoother, and sort of lost some of that hair on fire feel. Of course that will all translate into increased speed on the track but I can't help but feel I lost 5-10% of the wild character. The driveability has improved with these changes though.

That hair on fire feel for me was more of me questioning why BMW built it that way.

Yeah and the car is really better after the tune and software changes but the hooligan in me kind of liked the rough and tumble.

What rpm are you launching at? Launching at 5500rpm and 275 AD08R tires I pulled a 3.6 second run. With a DCT tune it only launches at 3500rpm and I haven’t broken 4 seconds.

Just wanted to say thank you to Alex. He was great tuning and coding my car. No dyno, but went from no tune to Stage II. I have catless Xpipe, muffler delete and MS air filter with RPI scoops on 92 octane. Car drives like a dream. Thank you Alex!

I'm just launching off idle (800 rpm) for now. Simulating a street start at normal 32psi rear tyre pressures.

Of course with lower pressure (maybe 26-28psi) on the RE71Rs with launch control I can get into the 3's.

On my prior 2013 ESS 650 M3 DCT with solid subframe bushings launching off idle in damp misting conditions with a slightly wet road it did a 3.5 second 0-60 on the same RE71R tires. I dont have enough power to do that again but maybe can get close with a perfect launch on my current e92.

Awesome feedback man! I too have been running this on my low mile DCT E92 and it has been fantastic. Not one hiccup and Alex has been great to work with.

I do think I may add cold start back though. I have HFC and kinda miss it.

Another happy customer here

I got a stage 2 and DCT tune as well as some coding done. As always with Alex, I couldnt be any happier with how great the car feels and his superb customer service.

Another positive review from me for Alex...
Car is a 2013 E92 M3 with MS intake AA test pipes and M exhaust
Got the stage two tune with servotronic mod

Been driving on the tune for about two weeks and it feels much stronger through the entire RPM range and pulls much much harder in the lower RPM range. Alex was great to work with and very timely with sending out the OBDII cable and responding to text messages. Definitely customer oriented.

The exhaust note is so good right now I would never go back. The steering is heavier at low speeds but feels perfect when you get up to speed.

Here's a "long term" review on Alex's Stg2 (Akra specific) tune...

I've had his tune on my car (08 6MT) for 6 months now and the car freaking rips. no issues at all. Launch control is awesome; even better, I can get 20+ MPG on the highway if I want, and get 18+ mpg mixed driving.

Overall, you can't beat this deal. Thanks Alex!

Thank you
Alex,

Is it possible to get some details on DCT tune? How is it developed, how is it different from GTS tune? Is it safe to transmission long term? What are the pros and cons?

Thank you
