What Type of Exhaust

Hello all, I recently purchase and E92 M3 from Florida off autotrader and it got shipped to me in AZ. However the owner did not know a lot about the car, and said it had an IPE exhaust. I put it up on the lift at my friends shop, and we spent hours trying to figure out the exhaust but couldn't find anything. I will get a picture of it up soon, but I have a picture of the remote that is used to open and close and the exhaust valves, this might help for now. Thanks!

If it is an IPE, there will be an IPE emblem on the muffler.

A picture of the exhaust would help.

Good thing the "Remote" is labeled though - eliminated one mystery.

Hopefully that option will narrow down the field for you. Good luck OP and congrats on your new beast.

It isn't an IPE, I can tell by the sound and there is no IPE logo

not sure why there isn't a name on the "remote" but thank you!

There were some unlabeled IPE's that we're floating around too that I believe we're 100 percent the same.

it could be a completely custom exhaust by some shop. There are at least two such places close to where I live that I know will make you a complete x pipe and exhaust for any car

Even if it wasn't labeled, this sounds nothing like what they are supposed to sound like so I don't think it would be that

That's a Sisken exhaust. They were made by a small company in Miami and I've only seen 1 other floating around here on the forums. Mufflers are titanium hence why it sounds a bit different than other valved systems.

Weird I was going to say it looks like my akra mufflers (titanium) but with different tips.

They look very similar but are different. The Akra has 2 single beads rolled around the muffler while these mufflers have 4. The Akra mufflers are also much more sharply rounded on the sides.

I recognized these mufflers as made by Sisken because of this thread posted long ago...

Sure... yup, that's me. I picked up an arctic silver 987.1 about 3 years ago but still frequent these forums since 6speed, planet-9, rennlist, and teamspeed aren't as active as this forum. Love your 997.2 btw! Truly one of the most capable cars with simple bolt-ons; in time I hope I pick one up as well.

Cool nice seeing you here as well. The 987.1 is an awesome track car - do you ever get to any POC or other track events? I went to a BMW CCA event with the Porsche recently at Auto Club Speedway and it was a blast. Looking forward to trying a POC event as well.

I mostly frequent the canyons around LA a lot but I've been thinking to sign up for POC and PCA. Several of my friends have signed up and gone to their events and had a blast... I just simply haven't had the time lately. Most I know use Speedistrict, Speed Ventures, etc and have had great experiences with their events.
