I'll play. I have a 2011 E92 with 26,000 miles. Build date of April 2010.
As to everyone saying "drive it more, it's not a collectible", you don't know that for sure. No one would think an e30 M3, or some air cooled Porsche, or 60s muscle car, would become collectible. Yet here we are. Nostalgia drives the market. Once kids who grew up idolizing this M3 become financially able, they will begin to pay prices that currently seem crazy. But the car itself is also historically significant. The last NA car that BMW ever sold here, let alone the last NA M car. The only M3 with a V8. The last available without a navigation screen. It has a lot going for it. In short, I guess we'll see in about 10 years! Though I'll never sell mine.

2013 with 11k miles. I just picked this one after mistakenly trading my other 2013 at 17K miles. It has winters on and being driven so it will not be like this for too long.

E92 July 2009 build with 22500 'ish miles. I am the third owner and bought it Oct 30, 2015 with 15,000 miles. I really enjoy that it has low miles, but bought it to drive. It's been autocrossed, tracked, and done vacation duty since coming to my garage. It sits a lot over the winter, but I thoroughly enjoy it April through November and look for any opportunity to drive it in the off months. Due to the sacrifices of the first two owners, I can drive it a lot and still have a really low miles car.

Cars like these are for connoisseurs of the past. The fact that they are gas powered is precisely what will make them endearing. And it won't be 30 years.

Climbed into my built-to-order 2012 MT+ZCP coupe when 1.1 was displayed on the odometer. Today, it has almost 43k miles. I'm looking forward to having a new S65B40 engine and transmission installed at some point around 200k miles because this car means a helluva lot more to me than money.
ymmv Happy motoring.

I ordered my DCT ZCP M3 in Spring 2102; it was delivered 1 Aug 12, and I now have almost 11,500 miles on the car. It competes with a Harley, a Honda S2000 and a Mini Cooper S for stick time and I truly enjoy driving all of them, which moderates their total mileage.
