Wow... is the Remus Race exhaust that loud that cops will stop you for it?

How loud sounding is the exhaust when sitting inside the car? I have 2 little girls ages 6 years and 17 months... last thing I want to do is to hurt their ears.

Hey Don!

Not sure if you remember me but I remember meeting you at a meet in Rockville (plaza that has the ToysRUs) a couple of years back (6speedonline meet). I remember admiring your M3 with the LM-Rs (beautiful wheels!)

If I decide to sell my carbon fiber DPE SL5 wheels then I'll seriously consider purchasing the LM-Rs.

Hope you've been well, bro. Would love to hear your exhaust sometime... will message you my contact info.

Yeah, these young kids nowadays. 30 minutes?!? It would take me that long to get my creaky-ass body under the car.

My REALLY OLD dad and I spent almost 1.5 hours putting a Skene front plate bracket on the other day. That's how slow we are.

Some of you guys probably know my dad (he's at almost all of the local CCA functions and DIYs) and I'm planning on getting more active in them so if anyone wants to hear it car will be at some of those. Might take it to the next AX as well.

Who's your dad, Scrummie? Maybe I might know him from the CCA functions. If your dad got the CCA 2011 membership album then you'll see me, my kids, and my BMW on page 160 I believe.

I'll ask you the same question I asked Richard... how loud is the sound when sitting inside the car? Should I be concerned about the exhaust noise with my kids inside the car?

Adam (Clem). Excellent work. We had to hack up my stock since I didn't want to buy connecting pipes.

With the windows up, you can hear it but just a nice rumble. I can never hear it over my music and I don't blast it.

That's good to know... I definitely don't want my kids to have their hearing impacted or have to scream above the sound of the exhaust.

Does Adam have a shop that he works out of for his exhaust work?

How come you didn't want connecting pipes? Are these bad in any way to have?

Just another $500 I didn't want to spend since I got my exhaust shipped for $500.

Adam has a lift in his garage and does all the work himself. He did the install on Mustafa's car and several other people too. Did suspension work on my 335. So yea, my favorite mechanic, great rates help too.

Thanks Huy/Mustafa! I definitely need to meet Adam then.

$500, Huy???? How the heck did you pull that off? Did you buy used from a forum member?

he does it from his house, he is pretty booked up in the summer. if u plan on using him, email him like few weeks in advance. try him out, u will not disappoint.

is not loud to be honest, drone is minimal on the highway. cruise at 60ish mph, it will sound just like stock. trust me, i drive on the hwy everyday. sometimes i wish it was a bit lounder. 1-10 loudest, i rate it about 6-6.5.

Like Huy, I wouldn't mind saving the money and not getting the connecting pipes. Is there any disadvantage to not getting connecting pipes that I should consider?

Well, I won't out him completely until I can find my yearbook and see if he's in there but his first name is Jim and he drives an interlagos '05 E46 M3 Comp Package. Half the time though he takes a Dinan 3 328Ci (which used to be mine, I sold it to him) or, in the past, my Monaco 335i (sold) to the meet-ups. Heh, he's the guy who blew up his engine in the M3 at Summit Point a few months ago. Retired a few years ago from State.
