:( - Price Check - 2011 Interlagalos DCT stripper w/carbon

2011 Interlagos Blue M3

Pros:
  • Balance of Lubrico Warranty until May of 2019
  • Clean Carfax. No accidents (confirmed with pre-purchase inspection from BMW dealership before I bought it a year ago; and I haven't gotten into any)
  • ~82,000km (~51k miles)
  • No Nav (clean single-hump!)
  • Carbon Roof
  • OEM Carbon Spoiler and OEM front splitters installed at dealership when new
  • Completely stock; only mod I've done is to change from yellow halos to angel eyes.
  • No mechanical issues so far as I can tell (but getting checked this coming week to confirm)
  • Comes with winter rims and Blizzak tires (purchased new in Nov 2018).
  • Individual Audio EDIT:h/k surround sound package
  • Comfort Access
  • Active headlights
  • heated seats
  • speed cloth seats

Cons:
  • No MDrive (but could be retrofitted for ~$1600 or less)
  • Driven year-round by first owner and by me.
  • Some stone chips on front bumper
  • Scratch on rear bumper

Basic backstory:
First owner owned it from late 2010 till ~2015 - he did all maintenance in the first ~35k at the dealership and I have that paperwork; second owner did not keep paperwork for ~15k, so there's a bit of a gap.

I bought this car a year ago with 50,000 km on it. I was planning to keep it over the very long term, first as a daily driver until around 2020 and later to take to the track. I never got the chance to track it, unforunately, but I did take lots of awesome road trips. I serviced it regularly at RMP Motors (which people on these forums say is the best indy specialist shop in the GTA).

Reason for selling: wife pregnant; need to be a one-car family; using money from sale for Jr's college fund and daycare expenses.

I've retrofitted M-Drive on my car, nowhere close to $1000.

I'd list it for low 40's.
Although it is a daily driver (winter driven), your spec (interlagos, speed cloth, single hump) commands a premium.

Apologies in advance for the lack of pictures - currently at work.

2013 M3

88,000kms

cpo warranty until july 2019 or 160,000kms

zcp, executive package, nav, individual audio, etc.

jerez black on black novillo with carbon leather trim

exterior 8/10 - due to stone chips

interior 9.5/10 - regular wear on driver seat, rest of interior is mint

mods:
dinan intake
dinan pulley
dinan strut braces
dinan tune
dinan dct tune
dinan exhaust
dinan catless midpipe + tune
pedalhaus dct paddles
pedalhaus pedal
pedalhaus heelplate

I am the 2nd owner of this vehicle which was purchased from a local bmw dealer.

I tracked down the 1st owner who traded the m3 for an x5 due to having a child. The m3 was used as a daily commuter hence the stone chips on the front bumper and hood.

No issues, problems, etc as per the 1st owner and service history.

I have done paint correction and full opticoat ceramic at by a reputable detailer(Wes/Orion).

Car has been meticulously maintained at a reputable indy shop (Rocco/RMP)

Rod bearings/TAs have not been done.

The car sits in a garage and is only driven on weekends/evenings and only when the weather is nice.

I have done 1 driver development day(lapping/autox) at mosport trough the dealer where i got the car a couple weeks ago, other than that the car hasn't been tracked.

Not sure if I want to sell it but I think I don't drive this car enough, so I'm considering selling the e92 and getting rid of the f10 in order to pick something up that I can have fun in everyday(thinking of a fast sedan).

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Theirs a quebec 6 speed manual ZCP with basically identical warranty and mileage listed at 39K. Ontario cars have a higher premium, but this is a DCT. The dinan upgrades increase the value as they are the most "reputable" tuner for BMW's.
Mid to low 40's CDN and it should move rather quickly.

If it we're my car, I would list it for $46K Cdn and not let it go for a penny below $44K. You have a nice spec on the car, an enthusiast would pay with little negotiating, especially with warranty still.

...
I would expect to see it listed for 49,990; I would expect to pay 46ish because I would see rod bearings as crucial the day the warranty ends (due to the mods). I'm assuming the cpo warranty was after it had been modified, and that the dinan parts don't mess with the warranty.

Nice luxurious spec, and 2013 would attract lots of buyers as last year of production. But mods might scare some off or not be as appealing to people who just want the stock experience. Those used to tuning (not me) might recognize Dinan value and pay more than I would.

If i don't get any good offers, I'm keeping it and will likely retrofit once warranty is up in may. How did you do it for less than 1k?

That's the only change I would make to the spec if I were buying the car new today. Since I've never had the m button i don't miss it.

Everything else I would do exactly the same as the original owner.

I am not sure how your car got Individual Audio without Navigation, maybe a Canadian thing!

If i was to sell the car, what do you think is the optimal time to list it?

There's never a shortage of e9x cars for sale in the spring/summer so I'm guessing winter time then? Does that make sense?

I might have that wrong - I just did a vin lookup and the code is S699A - Harman/Kardon Surround Sound System. I still don’t know if that’s individual audio or not...
