Smile Rent a BMW M3, M4 or M6 in Europe?

Hi everyone, I'm going on an Europe trip for 2 week (with Schengen Visa - I'm Vietnamese) and would like to rent a M3, M4, M6 or X5M to go across Europe.

Would anyone know which car rental company I can work with for my trip? With the best price? The most flexible terms and conditions? ...etc

I'm searching around on the internet and see some companies, such as: Europcar, Sixt or AutoEurope, but still need to hear from you guys!

Thank you very much for reading and helping me!

I'll be doing the same thing soon.
From what I've found Sixt has the best choices in M cars at decent rates.
You should make some inquiries re your itinerary, there may be limitations on which countries you can take the rental.

Here's some initial research on SIXT, pickup at Munich Airport and rent the car for 9 days.

On another note, don't plan to take one of these to the Nordschliefe or any other track.
They will find out by tracing the GPS

When you pick up and drop off the car, take *very* detailed pics of it inside and out. Everything, including the wheels/rims. Sixt tried to stick me with substantial damage to the rear end of a Mercedes I rented after I was back in the US for almost 2 weeks. I had their inspector's signature on the turn-in sheet stating no damage. I told them I'd take them to court and they sent me a note apologizing and saying it was a mistake.

My insurance agent said they pull that a lot to see if they can get a quick settlement. Just be aware of that. Cover your ass and take pics.

Also, remember that gas is about $10/gal in Europe. Although if you're going to fork out a fortune for the M, I would guess that the fuel bill won't matter.

Currently about $6-7/gal (ron95) for the more expensive countries (italy/netherlands/norway/portugal/denmark/GB)

That's cool. Another benefit of the currency slumps in Europe. At least for those of us visiting from the US.

I did sent a request to SIXT yesterday, then they replied that the vehicle is unavailable for that required period. Looking for a Series 6 Cabrio or M4 Convertible.

Two years ago, I missed an European Delivery Trip when I purchased my 2014 M6 Gran Coupe, so it's time to do an "alike" trip this September. I'll be in Munich for BMW 100 Years Event, it must be an amazing and once of a lifetime experience to enjoy

Thanks everyone for the advice, I do truly appreciate! I will keep you guys updated!

You could also try Europcar or Avis or Hertz, they are all in most airports over here.

Also Sixt has locations in downtown Munich, one of which is inside the factory run BMW dealer up the street from the Welt. This is where all the Individual cars are on display. The rental office is located downstairs in the dealership. Its an awesome dealership. Sixt also has another all BMW fleet near the Allianz Arena in Fröttmaning at the "other" BMW run dealership there. At the BMW Welt you can also rent ALL BMW models, including ///M. Check out "BMW in Demand"'s website.

To the OP, where/what is the first airport/city you're going to?
Because Helsinki(Fin) and Málaga(E) are both Schengen but thousands of miles apart.

Cheers

Wow, very useful information, Dackelone! .

The rental office is located downstairs in the dealership. Its an awesome dealership.
I've seen some photos of that dealership but can't remember the name. It's definitely a must-visit destination when I'm in Munich for sure . Thank you for remind me about it, I almost forget

At the BMW Welt you can also rent ALL BMW models, including ///M. Check out "BMW in Demand"'s website
I did take a look at this section, but the price is a little high and my plan is take the car along with me on a long trip (about 2000km). As I see on BMW's website, we can only rent the car for a few hours. However, the fleet is awesome . Wish BMW could let me rent their car for a week

Just keep you guys updated, I felt disappointed with the reply from SIXT. It seems they don't need business from me. Here I attached my exchange emails as below. Not an friendly welcome for a few thousands euro deal

Dackelone : if I can't work with SIXT, could you please advise where else I can rent BMW M for a week? It seems you are a local experts so hope I can get a great solution. Thank you in advance!

I will get the car around Munich. I found out that picking up the car in Munich is much cheaper than other cities, at least when I'm searching with SIXT?
Thank you very much!

With BMW on Demand... if you rent the car for four hours, you can keep the car for a day. I think they have package deals for longer renting. The more hours you rent/pay for... BMW on Demand gives you credit for entire day rentals. So I think it is possible to rent a car from them for a week or so. Maybe call the BMW Welt and ask. A friend of mine ChrisM135i always rents a car for a weekend from BMW on Demand.

http://www.bmw-welt.com/en/visitor_i...and/index.html

Renting from a rental station in (any) city is far cheaper than at the Airport or Trainstation(HbHof). When you rent at the airport or train station... you will pay a 20% surcharge from the rental companies.

Here are SIXT's rental locations in Munich...
https://www.google.de/webhp?sourceid...s=lf:1,lf_ui:4

Its always cheaper to rent a car for two(or more weeks) than by the day in Germany. Many times they only bill you for a few days at a high rate, then its fairly cheap on a per day basis after that initial few days.

https://www.sixt.com/luxury-cars/

here is a M4 for 103 euros per day... (you must be 25 years or older when renting a car in Germany)...
https://www.sixt.de/php/reservation/...age=de_DE&uci=

and here is SIXT's other BMW's that you can rent.
https://www.sixt.de/marken/bmw/

Also a few years ago Daniu9394 rented a few BMW's for his visit to Germany. Maybe he can chime in as well.

Good Luck,
Dackel

You've given me a huge hope for my trip, Dackelone

I'm trying to look at BMW On Demand website but it seems a little confusing to me (please see the attachment). I can't get the vehicle booked.

And they say: You only pay 3 hours during the day (9 am - 5 pm) and 3 hours during the night (5 pm - 9 am), does that mean if I rent the car for one day, I have to pay 6 hours, right? Then a M6 Cabrio costs 80*6=480 EURO / day? However, they offer an amazing fleet

I will try to contact BMW On Demand by email to make it clear

I'm also on http://www.bmw.de/de/topics/faszinat...en/mieten.html - but it's all in German. Then Google Translate is my best friend to read this page ...

Dackelone I also trying SIXT Frottmaning/BMW, but there aren't many BMW M to choose from. The station with the most BMW, is Munich Airport . However, according to the reply from SIXT salesperson, they have no BMW M available to rent (or they just don't want to lease the cars to me)
