You don't know how to see your "MPG" ? It shows up in the onboard computer if you set that on your right side of the nav screen, or you can scroll through the button on your turn signal (I forgot what that button is actually called) until you see the "MPG" option, and to reset it just hold down the button for a few seconds on your turn signal until it resets while it is on the MPG mode. Sorry for the non-exact response, but the MPG is there.

I get roughly 220 or less before filling up. I could maybe get a little more, but when the tank is really low I find myself to be really careful with the gas and accelerating.
Oh and slowly accelerating to cruising speed does not typically yield the best mileage. Getting to cruising speed somewhat quickly, but not redlining, will usually yield the best mileage as the engine operates more efficiently. This may be more true for other engines....with the S65 it might not matter as much. |

I'm getting 265 +/- miles a tank. DCT, 71000 miles. 2008 E92
I not that concerned with the gas price. It's the 16.? gallon tank. I would give up the performance difference for a 22 gallon tank. |

just did a 250+ mile trip and i got average 21.9 MPG, with a few lead foot sprints average speed at 70 mph, 90-95% all highway.
I think I was getting about 275+ miles, i remember i had a little under 30 miles when i got home.

I've never owned a car that warns me that I need gas when there's still 1/4 of a tank left. That usually happens when you're close to empty.
Anyway, I fill up whenever I get that warning, ~210 miles I use the Gas Cubby app on my iPhone and I average 16mpg |

Actually when comparing to regular 3 series m3 is really not that bad. My 328i gets 320 miles full tank while m3 gets 260. Only 60 mile diff which is roughly 4 gals so $16 diff per fill up at today's rates
My 2003 330ci gets 380 for full tank. Now that's a difference. Don't get how BMW went backwards on their newer models even tho they market efficient dynamics.... |

2011.5 e90 m3 dct 60% city, 40% highway ~600 miles on the clock D3 or S4 Occasional lead foot (still in break-in). Usually shift around 3K-4K rpms when in S mode I fill up around 1/8 of a tank (only 3x so far ). +2 for 1/4 of tank gas warning, wonder if I can get that coded out, or at least changed to 1/8 of a tank...hmmm ***glad my commute is ~4 miles a day..a bit longer now as I take the LONG way to work to let the engine warm up to proper temps
