Over-revving as in the engine rpm climbs freely? Like how it would feel with clutch slip? How many rpms does it over-rev?

CF driveshafts will exhibit more elastic effect than a steel shaft would. Does the over rev feel like it's 'twisting' the shaft and then the shaft unwinds and catches up?

Yes exactly...just like a clutch slip. Probably only about 300 or 400rpm but then quickly reverts to normal. Are you experiencing the same thing?

Nope I don't have any free revving with my CF DS. Any weird noises? Maybe it's some clutch slip.

A fellow member installed his cf ds + TTV lightweight flywheel. It is absolutely insane!

It's my plan as well.

With this solution you have to keep the factory guibo? Or can it be removed? I believe mine is on its way out.

You keep the guibo that attaches to the transmission but it removes the center support bearing.

You absolutely want the giubo as most one piece shafts without a giubo will vibrate.

Email Michael over at YCW/MFactory. He may be able to still offer you GB price of there are units left from that production run.

Yes just a little clutch slip, can live with that. Aside from the "general" clunkiness, I occasionally get a large jolt/bang through the drive train when changing gear.....particularly into reverse. The overall positives far outweigh the bad, but just seeing if anyone experiencing the same things?

No bang going into reverse. No clunks compared to the stock driveshaft. I do get the jolt thru the drivetrain when doing WOT upshifts. That's just the elastic effect of the CF tube and one of the reasons I love the CF DS compared to the stock unit. It's just so much more raw to drive.

Recently installed my new Mfactory cf ds. The install was a ton of fun on jack stands Recent track day I was consistently hitting 140 + mph on the straight. I didn't experience any issues with vibration. Everything felt great. Car is noticeably quicker to rev up and feels livelier. I have the TTV lightweight flywheel sitting ready to install which I will pair with the ds eventually.

Good luck getting one, its been at a stand still since Sept of 2020. I’ve been on the look out on the for sale section to see if one pops out.

Just a quick update:

CV's/Joints will be finished this month. The carbon tubes are wound and just need cut to length now

After assembly, we will still need to balance and stress test them though, so looking around sometime next month should be ready to start shipping out to everyone.

We will only know how many units "spare" we have after we have finished assembling/testing them and then accounting for those sold in the group buys.
