Competition package??

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...ssenger_banner

On the decoder for the VIN it doesn't have it, but it has the carbon roof, is that an add alone option?

If I remember right CF roof was standard unless sunroof option - nothing to due with comp package. Comp package was ZCP wheels (359) and lower stance and EDC. Priced low (salvage title listed) do your research.

Yes. CF and ZCP have nothing to do with eachother.

This is highly subjective. At the end it's some different suspension and nicer wheels.

Is it more desirable and probably help with resale? Yes. Could you install aftermarket suspension and 359 wheels and have the exact same car or better? Also yes.

If you put on 359 wheels the only person who wouldn't know it's a ZCP is you.

To this point, I've seen several 2008/2009s advertised as ZCP, when it wasn't available until 2010.

Yes. I would kick myself if I didn't buy a Comp car. The price of new M359s, tires, and suspension to achieve the same result is much more than the premium comp cars go for. Not to mention 359s are the best set of wheels for these cars. As others have said, all completely subjective but I'm thankful every day that I sought and purchased a comp pack car.

EDC sounds pretty nice as well though. Without the competition package there's no adjustment in suspension correct? Thanks again!

2011 for ZCP so the 2010s are fakers too.

EDC was available before the competition pack the tuning and ride height were different.

If you plan to mod the suspension, don't bother with ZCP. Otherwise, ZCP is nice to l have.

So, they all have EDC, it just doesn't do as much with the Comp package? Sorry a bit confused.

EDC was an option, there's some comp pack cars that have it, some that don't. Comp Pack added 359m wheels, 10mm lower suspension, and the sport+ setting in EDC was slightly different as well.

You could do what I did and buy a 2008 slicktop e90, then swap in the full comp pack hardware (sans 359m's). I had it all recoded to match and the result was awesome. ZCP suspension vs non-ZCP was night and day.

To your point, I'm on the opposite end which lends the subjectivity of this, I'm glad I never paid the premium for zcp. I have aftermarket suspension and wheels that are imo better than zcp in various ways.

I would say get zcp if you like those wheels and suspension, if you would change it then save the extra cost and put it towards the suspension and wheels you want by buying the civic M3.

359 wheels are very "delicate", the paint chips off if tire installers are not super careful (needs touchless mounting machine). 220 wheels are forged, slightly lighter and not as wide (con?). I have comp but use 219 and 220 wheels. after my 359's were damaged and I replaced them I still haven't used them. Personally I'd be more concerned with the salvage title - unless you're going to build a race car out of it. Also that interior color might be less desirable from what used ones go for, but again with a salvage title, the title is a bit of thorn. Is this your daily driver, or second car for the weekend?

So I do see some with EDC without the comp package. Does it help at all with it? Is that like halfway between not having the comp suspension??

Not all E9x M3's have EDC.

It was part of certain packages or available as a standalone option.

On my 2009, EDC was part of the Technology Package.

EDC was included on all Competition Package equipped cars, which was model years 2011-2013. You could not get ZCP and omit EDC.

The competition package included:
-different springs that sit 10mm lower than non-ZCP cars
-new mapping for both EDC and DSC
-19" 359M wheels
