The differences are:
- Springs and shocks (10mm lower)
- Dynamic adjustment of the shocks also in Sport mode (where non ZCP are fixed damping)
- Different DSC software in M mode (allowing more slip and I believe brake individual wheels rather then cut power).
- 359 rims

Its possible to modify incl code software which quite a few have done. Still doesn't make it one of the originals though...

Heres one of many threads talking a bit more about it: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1205535

Enjoy!
Thanks mate.

I am one of those that went the warranty route when I bought mine via carmax. The warranty has been very well worth the money and ran me about $4k. It's handled several expensive repairs that one would expect when you are impatient and buy a car sight unseen (stupid me). I'm good with a wrench but having a warranty is great piece of mind for a car with no service records.

Yeap, I understand your mind set. I just dropped my car at Lang Racing to get my RBs. I was more worried about RB failure than anything else. For now no warranty in mind, but might consider after this repair.

Have you done your RBs yet? Have you considered getting it done, even though you have warranty through carmax?

Great question. I have not gotten rbs done as many have said doing so under warranty will void it if RB failure occurs. I'm, however, leaning towards getting them done at a reputable shop just for piece of mind.

Thanks, all the best with whatever you decide.

So here's my baby getting the work done. I can't wait to pick her up tomorrow 😀. Shout out to Lang Racing Development, they always take care of me, previously with my e46, e60 and now with my e90.

I'm planning on getting my rbs done right at 99k (50k now) right before my extended warranty expires.

I'm a little surprised for a 10 year old car, but she has been a California car.

Congrats! I got mine last year with 63k miles and one owner. Came from an E93 328i and love how the cars feel similar but the M3 is just another level with everything.

Those bearings look fairly decent for 60k miles. I did mine at 69k miles. I already had a third party warranty added into my car purchase for an extra 30 bucks a month. Felt like that was a decent back up should something happen, but I still replaced my bearings anyway.

Congrats. Gorgeous color. RB replacement do help in getting a good sleep at night, rite.
I mean even before buying her I was preparing for RBs.

Here's something that happened yesterday. I knew 335i's were fast, I was surprised. So on my way home I saw this 335i and was following to cruise with it. He let me pull next to him. I thought just to say what up, but it was on. Just a 3rd or 4th gear pull. He just kept pulling, I had no chance . I called it after that, and parted ways.

Oh 335's sure are a great car as well. As they say, "There's always a faster car." That's why I love this M3 so much with its linear power band. You can really wind out some of the gears and let this engine sing without getting into too much trouble or going to jail.

So the car is done with RBs. Now i'm a little paranoid about the fuel injector failure, not too worried yet:

What should be my next oil change interval and should I stick with 10w60? Any brands preferred over others? Thanks

You will start a war with oil brands so I'm not touching that one. Stick with 10W60. New properly sized bearings (assuming you have the ACL mix from Lang) shouldn't wear so there shouldn't be a need for a break in oil change. Did you go with Lang's ACL H+HX? Congrats on the new car. She looks well taken care of. The 2011 year stuck injectors is an interesting new subject. tdott pointed out today you can pick up a set from FCP for under 300 bucks if you are worried about them.

.

Thank you, Im hoping I found a gem in the rough.

Yeap ACL bearings from Lang, I'm not quite sure about H+HX, but I will confirm that. I've seen the threads about the talk on the H+HX. Saw the FCP euro post from tdott, I'll be stocking up pretty soon.
