60-130 Stock motor world record broken.

After finally getting a chance to do some test on the car we have finally taken the record with legit modifications and repeatable results. I'm a firm believer that no car is really some out of the ordinary monster with the same exact mods, and that no one beats another car with the same setup by 2 seconds with all the same exact features etc. I realize there was a lot of controversy with the 60-130 claims back in 2012 with cars claiming bottom 6s with no change at all from the off the shelf hardware, running pump gas no race gas no weight reduction etc.

As many who have followed some of my other post, my car is one of the second cars done by rk tunes on full e85 with 1050cc injectors. Realizing that factory fuel pump would not keep up with any changes after base 625kit boost on a vortech v3si I improved the system by adding a fuelit drop in add on 525 wakeboarding fuel pump which I am using a meth controller to activate at 4-5 psi of boost.

FULL E85 with SC M3 Complete https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1724632

While doing test with the vortech v3si in a full weight e90m3 dct with no weight reduction we achieved a 6.8 60-130 but had a .7 decline in slope. That was done on a 3.3 in pulley using factory crank pulley seeing 11 psi. While I did run a 3.1 for a short time a 60-130 run was never tested as we began to see our summer high temps here in Texas.

Realizing that the vortech v3 was entering a point where it was now pass its effienciy range I contacted Ess to make the jump to the new g series. Given I had already seen the peak on the v3 I was not interested in getting a g1. We choose to make the jump to the g2, a blower with a capability to be spun to 59k rpm compared to the vortech 52k. The g2 would be a 800whp blower on a motor such as a coyote 5.0. This would be more then enough to see how far we could go with the s65.

G2 opening video

G2 installed running video

Finally it came time to test after having had the g2 on the car for 4 months there was a noticeable change in power through out the band and how much more boost the blower produced. As I said before I was running a 3.3 pulley on the v3 I opt to run a 3.4 on the g2 as I figured this would be the best comparison to make with out blowing thr motor up. The most boost I was able to ever see on thr v3 was 13.1.on a 3.1 11.8 on the 3.3. 50-60 degree weather. The g2 off rip produced 12 psi in 90 degree weather. I was expecting a bit more but hey let see how things go. As temps finally dropped to the 60-70 the car was able to achieve a 6.4 with the same decline and 6.6 with incline. Still I felt something had to be off so I went a head and order new filters and check all clamps. What I found was I had no boost leaks but I did have a pass service life filter. The bumper filter had actually collapsed there by restricting the flow of air to the blower. I also upgraded the in bay filters I was running to some surprising cheap cost amazon filters (filter ). The result was shocking. The car jumped a solid 2 psi of boost in the power band beyond 5k rpm. Now seeing 14.2-14.4 psi max average 13.7 the car was a rocket up top.

This change resulted in some more than but dyno improvements. It cut over half a second off the 60-130 time and a 2 seconds off the 100-150mph run. The car did a shocking 5.9 60-130 with no slope. The 100-150 going up incline was now 5.77.

All of this again in a full interior stock motor, stock clutches, stock fuel system 2011.75 m3. On 19x10 19x11 acs type 2 3 pc wheels on 275/30/19 Achilles tires. While I could Easily do this run again in 2nd gear with radial and go 2-3tenths faster I wanted to do this test in true form of how I drive this car to work every day. And results that any other use could repeat.

Anything sub-6.0 seconds 60-130 mph is very fast to me. Congratulations! Do you think you are pushing the limit of the stock rods? 14 psi seems like a lot for 12.0:1 compression even with E85, but you are reaching that boost only at very high rpm when so it’s not as stressful as it would be at 4000-5000 rpm.

Thanks. Car is pretty exciting to drive extremely aggressive honestly any where in the power band.

I'm quite sure it's a limit being reached but I will say the car has seen above 175 quite a number of times so I think it's safe to say the car handled it well. At 4-500 I'm seeing 6-7 psi even at 2-3k rpm car sees 3psi. Basically not usable at all even from 2nd gear at 30 mph. I may put some r888rs back on the car

Amazing results man! I don’t know if you’ve tried the Michelin PS4S and granted you’re making a lot more power, but my 650 kit dead hooks in second with a 295/30/19. Really impressed but not sure you can fit that width with your offsets.

On ps4 in 80 degree heat I can spin them to about 90mph lol that is what is current on my f14s really only way to put power down is going r888r for a street tire.

He is running a bigger blower, about 50% more boost, custom E85 tune and meth. No way an out of the box kit would come remotely close. I’d guess he has 150 rwhp more than you.

With this setup, REAL power is about 425 wheel in a heat of the day and 500 wheel in a cool evening. At these power levels, you will see results in the 7.0 to 8.5 second range with a car weighing it at 3700lbs.

I know this setup makes 550-570 on a dynojet but that's a joke. If it really did make that much power on the street, everyone would be doing 6.5's all day long. But it doesnt unless very cold temps at -1,000 DA.

New to the platform so…
What your sayin is the far varies greatly with the DA.. between 7-8.5 ? Really that much?

Also, I see Dyno's for this kit vary from 530-575

Based on those numbers and curb weight I can see low 8s being standard for that level of power output.

I draggy all my cars through progression and the numbers make sense.

I guess all the faster guys are custom tuning and slapping meth on for that extra sauce !!
