Mostly. Sometimes you're lucky and get an alert from the laser scatter targeting a vehicle ahead of you. So far, the V1 is absolutely the best detector you can get for laser. Still can't depend on this though. A laser jammer gives you better defense. The best thing is to always pay attention to what's ahead. There are lots of other things you can do to mitigate the threat of LEO speed enforcement. Do some research.
