matte grilles will match up just as well as the carbon fiber grille IMO, since they are all dark colored...

I thought painted grills will get chip sooner or later. It's not worth the money.

+1000000 I emailed jl-motering yesterday and still haven't heard back from them. It's kind of weird that the website has no phone number.

Anyone else hear back from them? Anyone know if they make the typeII diffuser?

I have a lip on order and my experience re: communication is that it can take a day or so for them to get back to you. I did get a phone no. when I paypal'd my deposit which I was told was refundable but I too thought it was a bit odd that there was no phone no. on their website. I was also told that they would have more v-style lips in by the end of this week so I would expect to receive my lip within the next 10 days or so.

Thx,
BC

Okay gang, I just got the scoop on what they have. James at jl-motoring emailed me earlier and said that they do not have the type II diffuser yet, just the full length one for now.

With that said, I'm gonna hold off a bit to see what Eclipse's rear diffuser looks like once production models are ready to go.

Hopefully they'll have one ready in the next month or so. My car is in storage now and I want all the mods to be complete when I pull the car out for spring

You're not taking something in factor.. Vorsteiner did all the R&D for the front lip and rear diffuser. They simply took their work and copied it. Sure, I bet Vorsteiner can lower the price if they just threw something together and started making mass numbers of items but they aren't like that. They take their time, make sure it fits perfectly and if it doesn't they scrap it.

Do a little homework on it, and you'll find out why it costs so much.

I wish my company could use the argument that we need to recover our R&D to justify a price. The market price is what it is and it's up to the manufacturer to figure out how to make money/recover R&D at the market price. Additionally, if Vorsteiner has to expend a "massive" amount of R&D (presumably justifying a high price) to develop something that is easily copied then it's a bad investment to begin with as the IP was easily replicated.

The fundamental problem Vorsteiner has is their products are easily copied and their pricing strategy presumes they are not. Maybe they would have sold twice as many lips at half the price to get to the same ROI. Now their short-sightedness in their pricing strategy has alienated a sizeable portion of their target market making it easy for someone else to come in and take share.

Just my $0.02....
