New Owner: IB E92

I have been lurking around the past few months and found a deal I could not pass up. I have always wanted the M3. I picked up my new 2008 IB Coupe yesterday! I have already put 450 miles on her so far. This car is fantastic. I find it louder at start up and idle than I thought it would be but love the V8 sound.

Quick question - the car had been on the dealer showroom for a year. Even though it only has 450 miles should I get the oil changed due to the length it was sitting or no? Sorry for the crappy pic but I have to get back driving.

You should be through the break in period soon enough, the oil will get changed then.

Yeah, just get to the 1,200 and do it then. But after that, yes, you can request an oil change once a year if mileage is low, which is exactly the boat I'll be in. Congrats man, and enjoy it.

WOW! I ordered the same IB color & 18 inch wheels combo on my stripped '09 M3 Sedan, which should be here in about 3 weeks.

Also, I would just wait for the 1200 mile service on the oil change, especially since that time will be here in a flash! After that, I recommend getting your oil change at every 5K miles. That's what I plan to do.

Did u pick that up from FMW in Natick. I saw a new 08 there in that color combo, and it looked awesome. If you don't mind saying, how much did you pay. If this is the same one I saw, it had a sign hanging from the mirror saying "save $$$$$$$$$$$$"

I find the "Pro-Stock" noise at idle settles down after she has had a minute or so to "clear" her throat.

Thanks guys - I will wait until the 1200 service. The pace I am on it won't take long to get there (at 550 miles after 36 hours). I definitely plan to do an oil change in between the regular service intervals. The hardest thing is keeping this beast below 5500 - I am struggling with it.

I was going to try and go modless but it is going to be difficult. I plan to get Huper Optik tint this week and need to swap in clear corners. What other exterior/engine mods are popular (this is my first BMW)?

afc1 - I got the car for $51k flat (plus tax) with Tech, Prem Sound, Prem, Cold, PDC. It was new - I think I got a great deal! The color was not my first choice but I had to jump at this deal and I am really liking IB. I looked at that car in Natick but it had 650 miles on it so I went with this one in CT. The guys in Natick seem to be at $53k.

Exhaust. air filter, ecu, ssk, pulley, matte black kidneys, and springs/spacers are some of the most popular mods for the M3. All the best!

Thats an awesome deal. New or low mileage 08s are the way to go when purchasing an e90/92/93 M3.
